Well here's the next update, enjoy ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sam wore a sleepy, dazed look on his face that made him look adorable. He stood in the doorway wearing nothing, but the boxers that hung loosely at his hips. My cheeks flushed with color as my eyes continued to scan down his lightly tanned body. He was active in more than just theatre and you could tell by how fit he was. My heart skipped a little when I finally registered that he was half naked in front of me. Here I was, standing in front of him looking like a wet dog and he looks he should be in a Calvin Klein ad. "What the hell are you doing out in this storm at this hour?" he questioned me. It was only about eleven or so when I got there, but he took a while answering. I understood that I probably shouldn't have been there, but that didn't stop me from throwing myself in his arms. I wanted him to hold me like he did Saturday. He wrapped his arms around my drenched body tightly, as if he could read my mind. His skin was warm to the touch and my shivering body wanted more of it, but I let him go. I stepped back from him and remained outside. "I shouldn't have come here. I should leave." I finally managed to get out through my chattering teeth. Sam ran his fingers through his hair, a little confused at what just happened. He had a right to be with the mixed feelings I had just displayed. "Well, you're here. Don't leave in this weather." Sam pleaded. He stepped outside and grabbed my hand as I was walking away. My eyes beelined to the hand he was holding. My face filled with the warmth it lacked and I was so glad it was almost midnight. "Sam..." I barely whispered. I looked into his striking green eyes and saw concern for me. "Stay." he answered, caressing my face with his hand. The little beads of rain dripping off of his hair made me want him even more. I tensed up a little as I saw him inch closer to me. "Relax." he whispered to me, feeling his breath in my ear. I wanted to melt right here, right now. "Sam," I repeated to him, as he tilted my chin up to him. My heart was about to jump out of my chest. I swear, anymore and I couldn't take it. It felt like a dream and I would wake up in my bed in a few hours. "Taylor, just stop and relax. There's no way I'm letting you go walk back in this. Just stay here. It's fine." he reassured me. "Then.." I started, but was cut off by Sam's lips pressing against mine. It was surprise and definitely not a dream. My body felt like it had been set on fire and not even the pouring icy rain could put it out. I responded to him, deepening our kiss and wrapping my arms around his neck. I was lost in him as he pulled me closer by the waist, if that was even possible. My heart was ignited and he just kept pouring gasoline on it. We both pulled away reluctantly for the sake of needing air. "I ask of you, please stay. I can't let you go back out." his voice wavered a bit, "Not like this anyway." He was still breathing heavily from our kiss, as was I. After that, I couldn't just say no to him. The thunder roared in the background and we both ran inside.
I dunno what rhymes with it either, though the next update should be out late tonight or early tomorrow since I'm still figuring out how to make the sleepover interesting
I like this story. I spent all evening reading it. It is a bit clichéd, but is a great read. I suggest you add in something unexpected, something that will knock your readers off their feet. I know,I know, not as easy as it sound but I have faith in this story ~ᎡᎧᏕᏋ
No no I know what you mean Rose and believe me, cliché is the "perfection" I'm going for. But life isn't always "perfect" for long.
Ahh intriguing wordplay. What a nice and unique symbolism that brings the tittle and story together. Quite an original idea i do say so myself. Would have never though of that. Bravo
Thanks haha Minuscule letters.... And new update, it's kinda a filler but whatever I will write more soon. When I'm not at work.
Sent it early Anyways here ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Take these and get out of those clothes, before you catch a cold." he gave me one of his larger t-shirts. I gladly took it with my shaking hands and went into his bathroom. I slipped off my sloshing shoes and poured the excess water into the sink. I placed them face down over the heater vent to dry. I had removed my jacket when I walked in and to my surprise, my shirt was soaked underneath it. I pulled it over my head and rung the shirt out in the tub. My jeans weighed a ton and I was so weak that I could barely lift them. I hung my jeans to dry on the towel rack in the shower. My energy was severely drained from that trudge through the water flooding the streets. I picked up the salmon colored towel Sam gave me and dried my skin off. I was glad that the rain hadn't soaked completely though to my undies, because I didn't think Sam had any spares laying around. I slipped into his black t-shirt, which read some bands name from some concert he had been to, but it was to faded to read. It fit me like a dress, falling a little above mid-thigh. I walked down the long hallway to the living room, the cold hardwood floor beneath my bare feet. The house was dark, with the only light coming from the fireplace and the television mounted above it. The television showed what looked to be Wipeout and Sam's laughter confirmed it. He looked genuinely entertained by people almost breaking their backs. I leaned up against the wall, causing the floor to creak beneath me. He immediately turned toward my direction. "Come over here, unless you want me to be lonely." Sam called to me. He laid his head down on the couch, staring at me with the sad puppy look. My fingers traced the seams of the tan leather couch. I sat next to Sam and I could feel his eyes on me. My peripherals showed that he had changed into a gray tank with white horizontal stripes and red basketball shorts. His hair was still damp and was sticking out all over the place in a messy cute way. "I kinda liked your other outfit better." I chuckled a little, finally looking at him. "Oh? You did, did you?"he answered humorously, mixed with a little shock. "I kinda like this outfit more than your last one." He reached over to me and coaxed me into turning to face him fully. The television was off now, the room lit by the burning fire. "So, um well how long have you-," I started, not really knowing how to ask it. It wasn't really a question I thought I'd be asking him of all people. I had always imagined that being something I'd probably ask Jonas or someone else. "Liked you? I started recognizing them during winter break, but well before that I had feelings for you." he confessed. He smiled nervously, the warm glow of the flames showcasing his face. I should've known or at least caught a hint, but I was to into Jonas. Tonight made my decision a little easier to make, though I'd have to tell them soon which one.
