From my understanding of observing how persons act doesn't a lot of this contradict the bible ? And regardless of progression of society. It will still take a long time for women to be treated equally.
Perhaps? Most people don't have the balls to say that to someone's face though. But I doubt Rihanna was walking the streets in that dress. She went to an event in that way. I'm not condoning her dress. If she'd covered those nipples and maybe half of her boobs, that dress would've been very nice but eh, it's her choice. She obviously thought it wasn't a big deal.
Lmao  the bible does have a lot to answer for in sexism. The bible does say something about in marriage the woman becomes the mans property. But i don't believe in the bible, i believe its just another opinion written down.
I changed my mind about locking the thread And since I'm still in the process of actually reading the entire bible and studying it thoroughly, I'm not at Liberty to answer any bible questions without sounding ignorant/confused and getting schooled. ?
I'm kinda switching between Geneva, King James, New King James, and NIV. I think the more versions a person is familiar with you have a better understanding of what it's actually saying. If I knew Greek or Hebrew that'd be even better because then I could read even older versions. ?
I wish I could read the very first scriptures of the bibles :? Before they were copied and copied and no doubt changed by the people writing them to fit their time :?
I probably still wouldn't believe them to be fact but at least i'd concider it and care to read them then
The current verses are hand picked I believe by people they simply decide " this story vs this story and these ones will connect with more people"
If a guy wants to hold a door open for me, I'll let him. If a guy I like thinks it's great to stare at my cleavage, do I consider that he thinks of me as an object? No I think he likes my boobs. And I'm fine with that. I would most certainly not call myself a feminist. There's awesomely clever women as well as awesomely stupid ones. Same with men. So no, we're not all the same. I know for a fact I'm not going to start doing loads of physically heavy work to prove myself as strong as a man when I know that biologically, I aren't.
