I posted this to bring more equality to forums. By the way, you honored what I said and then bashed me. Fail.
You can be straight and still be an ally of the LGBT community. I'm 100% straight and have been an ally for a long time. Instead of downgraded others for their life choices here's a better option. #StopTheHate
Basically OP is making a mockery of gay pride. Gay pride originated so people could be proud of who they are without facing persecution. When have straight people ever been targeted for their sexuality? It's great to be straight but you're belittling the achievements of the lgbtq community.
This forum is so stupid instead of saying its great to be straight support your fellow GLBT community. For being straight what have you fought for nothing you get to be happy and carefree. But the GBLT community have gave up so much some people gave there lives and freedom to show who they really where. They gave up everything to be happy. They fought for this day and fought for what they wanted and to be true to themselves. You gave up nothing to be happy and they gave up everything. So just shut up and give them there day and support them! I SUPPORT GLBT COMMUNITY!!!!!!!!
Harmless Post Is Harmless, y'all just choose to be offended for the dumbest reasons. so now that the homosexual community has achieved a great leap forward, we can't be happy to be straight AND happy for them? Dumb, purely and utterly dumb
I support op. I'm straight and proud, but I'm also proud to support gay pride. I have homosexual friends who have gotten married. I also drop the "F" word a lot, everyone is considered one to me. I just won't use it to ever bash a homosexual Today isn't a day to celebrate gay marriage, it's also a day to celebrate that the equality amongst us straights and the lgbt community. So let's all smoke some weed and suck some dicks to celebrate ?
I AM SUPPORTING EQUALITY. JUST BECAUSE I AM A HETEROSEXUAL MALE, MAKING A HETEROSEXUAL PRIDE THREAD, DOES NOT MEAN IM MOCKING OR BEING HOMOPHOBIC IN ANY WAY WHATSOEVER. YOU IDIOTIC FORUMERS JUST CHOOSE TO MAKE A MESS.
What this thread and supporters of this thread are basically saying is ... I can't handle not also being celebrated this one day of the year, give me attention!
Nope. It's bringing more equality to forums as a whole. If there's many homosexual threads, there should be many heterosexual threads!! Bring on the equality and celebrate instead of discriminating. Hypocrite.
Equality, defines to be equal in status, rights and opportunities. You can't have a thread like this because yes it is bashing the community. I'm married with a wife and kids. But Sawyer has a point mate. Heterosexuality is over stated why? Because the homosexual community fought for how long now and is just recieving a unanimous support from a higher authority over their rights? When heterosexuals can and could go wherever, whenever and do whatever they want because it is seen as "right" or "true" to what we were taught. Now this can vary because we all know stories of Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve, example people don't flip on me. When people choose to do what they see as right and fight for what they want. So this thread is crap, why should we be proud to be straight? The world has ssuccessfully proven over thousands of years they were proud. In other societies, countries, and time era's if you were homosexual take a guess of what would happen. So now you wanna take glory of a successful battle over time from the community to say your proud of being straight? Weren't you proud yesterday before you heard about today's decision? Proud a year ago? Proud when you heard the struggle of their community since you still had all the rights they failed to acquire in the past. Don't say a word about proud, this is their time and you need to shut it. Heterosexuals were proud for long enough, it's their turn.
This is really going right over your head, huh? Think of it this way. Imagine a tall person, and a short person trying to see over a fence. Of course, equality is giving them a step of equal height to see. But the short person is still at a disadvantage. Now, if you gave the shorter person a taller step than the taller person, and thereby making them the same height, that is true equity. And that's the point of having a day exclusively for the LGBT community.
