um. they have also had lifetimes of persecution. they have literally been murdered for being LGBT. do you seriously think they don't deserve a day out of the year to be for only them to be recognized? honestly, they should have had equal rights to begin with. the reason why this is going to go down in history is because they didn't. you take your privilege for granted.
You don't know that heterosexuals were picked on or bashed throughout the world. Sure, it might be very rare, but with a world full of idiots, it's bound to have happened quite a few times. You just don't hear about it on the media. But are you saying that straights are the opposing side and gays won the battle/war? Just because someone is straight, doesn't mean they haven't supported homosexuals. No, you're inciting homophobics. That is something I take part in because I am obvious celebrating equality. If I can't celebrate my heterosexuality along with people's homosexuality, then that's not equal.
No, this is a day of equality. A day where despite our sexual orientation we are looked at as equals. You're the one at fault here because you're saying that focusing your attention on only the homosexuals is 'equality'. Today, love wins. Wether it's gay, lesbian, or straight.
That is not the reasoning behind this thread. This thread is to contribute to the forums, bringing more equality to the thriving active topics. K? K.
anyone else sitting in the beauty salon waiting on they slow ass hairdresser to get to them... no? ok rant over
Please leave my thread. You have not contributed anything in your last few messages that were on topic. So, please leave.
No im not its not a victory for straight people its a victory for homosexuals. Today is thier day not a day to have straightpride. We were always allowed to be wed. They had to fight for that. Yes straights get hate. But not as much as the homosexuals did they had to fight to get the right to marry we did notm do yourself a favor and shut it. Its childish to want to celebrate being straight when this whole thing was about marriage rights we always had and they did not. Its equal because now they can marry like we were always allowed.
this is a day for everyone to celebrate but who should celebrate more the ones that always had rights or those who fought for so long
It's not just a victory for homosexuals, but a victory for EQUALITY. We can ALL get married now. TOGETHER. Be happy and stop using the past as an argument. That means nothing to the "argument" of being able to celebrate heterosexuality ALONGSIDE homosexuality. Jesus Christ.
