You guys realize this started as a push for atheism, right? It was started just to show how ridiculous a religion can look to somebody who doesn't believe in it. The "joke" is that if you laugh, or think this is stupid, you know how other people can feel about a religion that is new to them, or just doesn't fit with their views.
I'm not going to "shut the fuck up" because you told me to I am not starting pointless shit because this is a big deal in my opinion. Don't make fun of a religion, how would you feel if someone made fun of your religion? You wouldn't like it.
The guy that started Pastafarianism was an atheist and he created it in order to make fun of creationism as far as I know. If people make fun of Pastafarianism, it is fair game.
Kristi, we're on an online game and it happens all the time. Calm down bby. A couple comments poking fun at a religion isn't going to kill anyone. Especially the people following it. If someone says God isn't real are you going to break down and cry? I certainly hope not.
They're all atheists. It's just to show that everything should have equal rights if you're going to teach creationism in schools then you should also teach about their "religion" and such. They've been fighting for equal rights showing just how ridiculous and one sided laws are in regards to what religion you are. Also to show how teaching certain things are just ridiculous in general. Big into separation of church and state. I actually agree with them and their fight.

Cherry, I also think it's good for them. If one religion gets something, like being taught in school or a statue, then everyone other religion should also
I agree. You can't say one thing is completely acceptable to teach and then negate something else entirely if it's basically the same thing. I don't know if that made sense I'm half awake.
It sounds like this religion is just making fun of other religions...(thats what I interpreted from some comments in here) so who cares if someone pokes fun at this religion Eh, wutevs.
I don't think they're making fun of religions so much as pointing out how ridiculous certain religions sound to someone who isn't that religion. And also pointing out how ridiculous it is that some things are accepted and others aren't in regards to religious acceptance.
