How do you think Christianity was developed after Judaism was established? I bet you I know a tiny bit more than you do when it comes to Western Perspectives and Early Religion
Why would I want you to recognize the spaghetti monster religion? I just pretty much said that it was created to flame religion.
But historians will tell you Jesus was a real person. I haven't seen any spaghetti monster fossils though.
Actually the historical validity of Jesus is in dispute. And most of the religions of antiquity had no historical basis... The religion of the Greeks and Romans that persisted for centuries are one example. We call them mythology now, but they were religion of millions during epochs of civilization from which sprang the western era.
The spaghetti monster is as plausible as a god. They're both undetectable. You don't find god fossils
The historical validity of Jesus has been undisputed for years and one atheist with a thorn in his ass probably said it wasn't and now it's not. I honestly don't care what anyone says or thinks but a Flying Spaghetti Monster is just absurd. Why don't we all worship the 3 eyed wikilar or the levitating rock of destiny?
I'm glad atheists can find humor by mocking religious beliefs through creating their own religion. They're mainstream hipsters now. They're on the same level, thus no better. You're all fools
they can do whatever they want. That's what's messed up with america. Sometimes too many rights aren't a good thing.
The Mythic Jesus theory in historical scholarship is a minority, but still valid and very much a part of modern academics. But beyond that, the idea that a religion needs a basis in historical reality is wrong. Only the "axial sage" religions rest their faith on real people/events. Hinduism alone has over a billion adherents and none of that faith rests on meeting a real world basis. So your whole major premise that religion needs history/reality in its origin to operate is bogus.
Don't confuse me for someone who believes in anything. I think they're all bogus. I just can't see how something with absolutely nothing solidly connecting it to real events and history can be recognized as a real religion. You can go ahead and throw the Flying Spaghetti Monster and Hinduism in a class with roman and Greek gods for all I care.
