As far as we know, and can calculate, your mb (miscellaneous bonus) only affects your chances of winning/losing a battle. It isn't shown to influence plunder at all, let alone with enough accuracy to actually calculate its weighting. I like your question, though. Shows good curiosity and thinking about game mechanics.
Have you considered that if you're the ONLY person experiencing this issue, you may be doing something wrong? Instead of a game feature, that was confirmed by the devs to have stayed the same, having been changed.
Devs don't know the glitches until we bring their attention to them. They may have said it before having a proper look.
Well for starters, I know I'm not the only one. @GODNarcis too has/had this issue. And there may be more people that have it and not know. And if I may ask, what will I have been doing wrong to get this issue? I used a hand held calculator instead of my phone calculator because of how many times I've seen people saying max plunder didn't change. I started to think there was some sort of problem with my phone's calculator lol.
This is why I suggested that players who are having this problem should ask via support. Since the result is not the same for everyone, it’s not a good idea to say it had changed when you don’t really know it has.
I will acknowledge that is has changed when ATA says it has, or I see consistent proof that it has changed. With so few players having this apparent issue, I don’t understand why you wouldn’t choose to ask the developers themselves.

So I had a brief conversation with @-iLyssaTheGummyBearKissa- and when she asked to send screenshots, the 15b = 1mcs worked well. It's working as it used to in the past but I know what I did and I am 100% sure 15B = 1mcs didn't work as intended when I was still trying to find my max plunder. I'm not sure what's happening but I still believe there's something wrong somewhere. Someone else had the same problem I had. We can't both make the same mistake.

Click the menu at the top left corner of your home screen and the Help tab should be there along with Forum, Account, etc. Press "New conversation" and that's it. Type in and send your concerns and wait for a reply from ATA.
