  1. I'm not gonna argue that's completely false. Because it isn't. What I was trying to say was most service men and woman will say exactly what I did, that they were fighting for their country. Not their government. Because theres no need to make our country and our people pay for our governments mistakes and choices. Everyone has to deal with that on a day to day basis, when they get gas in their cars for example, and it costs 2x what it should. Why? Because our government made bad choices. So I guess there is some truth in that it's fighting for the government, but I don't look at them reasons. Because I know that as long as the government keeps making the choices they do then there's always going to be a threat to our country. And it needs to be protected. So agree or disagree, its not gonna make a difference. I'd rather make a difference in just doin what needs to be done

  2. Monster I am not looking for arguments just hoping to have an adult discussion where differing opinions can be heard and discussed in a friendly manner. Now to take your point about the government making bad choices. Would it not be better to encourage the government to stop making those bad choices. The way I see it if the bad choices are minimised then surely less need to go to war therefore less death and destruction for all.

  3. Just stop making threads about the military...we all know that ppl with different beliefs, especially on this matter, will never agree on anything or even agree to disagree. I think it's sad that ppl can't just be happy for you for doing something with your life that you've always wanted to do, but ppl never cease to amaze me

  4. Im not trying to argue either.. And the thing is, we can't just do what we want. So your telling me if I don't enlist there would have been a huge impact to the government? No because lets be honest, if people just quit enlisting in the service what would our government do? Knowing them they'd offer more money then they have even to anyone who enlists, and we both know theres a lot of people out there who join for the wrong reasons. Which is for the money, and no matter how many people decide to try and take a stand against the government, there will always be those people that join for the wrong reasons. And I don't know about you, but I'd rather have men and woman that are fighting with a passion for their country opposed to some guy or girl who just needed the extra cash and is there and doesn't care what happens, as long as their paid.

  5. Agreed Russ the discussion is pointless each war has its pros and cons every one argues over it even the own country that send there servicemen end of the day service men and women die doing a job they wanted to do they knew the risk at least show some respect as the help millions of people. I've built schools in war zones and hospitals its not all about the shooting and killing

  6. Places like turkey have a mandatory service people stop enlisting then I guarantee this will happen to your country love it or hate it the armed forces are a necessity to protect those that can't

  7. I wanna join the navy

  8. People not from the us believe that our own government set up 9/11 why don't you stop reading stuff off google from someone not even a citizen in the us. You can't say what the us is like till you lived in it. You all think us wants to go to war when we really don't. We go if it's needed and yes this war that is going on now is a must.

  9. Till all you haters have the courage to go fight a war and get shot at so people you will never meet can be safe in your own country.

  10. Honestly, you being one person, and enlisting, you are going to be a cog in a war machine. Your opinion isn't going to matter regardless of what you think. You won't make a huge difference, but you'll have the uniform and the underpaid salary.

You aren't making any decisions as a newly enlisted marine, and you won't make any decisions until you're at least an E-4, and even then that is a squad level. I don't want to knock your beliefs but as soon as you get in, I bet your super Hooah outlook is going to die.

It's just another job that nobody wants to bat an eyelash at man.

  11. Plus I understand that you want to fight the good fight and kill terrorists and commies or whatever, but I don't think you really understand the type of tactics that actually go into it.

The rules of engagement are different with each mission. Each person has their own part. There are multiple ways to go about an objective. What will you do if your squad leader is shot and you're next in the succession of command? Do you know how to raid or ambush a target? What about stalking and patrolling lanes? These are big questions you need to know the answer to if you're going to be a adrenaline junky warhead.

Plus if your personality is too hot, you won't deploy anyway, so you need to change your outlook, or at least pacify it.

  12. Just to kill more innocent ppl especially muslims great -_- just bs n F

  13. Listen, I've known people who go into the military just fine, and then come out in horrible conditions. What your doing over there? It's not fighting for your country. It's killing. It's the murder of people that don't even see it coming. So I suggest you don't go, please don't ruin your life.

  14. USA. A great country. Some people look at other countries, and those country's have healthcare and shit crap and that other crap, but they have to pay huge taxes. While the Highest in the USA would be like 30% more or less. (Lol I might be wrong)

NOW! Any of you ever been to Disneyland or whatever, and the lines to get to a ride(s) are HUGE AS FUCK? Well imagine that line but wayyyyyy bigger, a crap load of people wanna come to the USA. The USA is to attracting to them, because in many ways you keep the money you MAKE, and it's ALL yours.

    But lemme just say

    USA BEST IN THA WORLD

    woot woot unbanned

  15. I was gonna join the Australian military but then I completely forgot about it. 

  16. SpitFire is ignorant about the subject.
Plus, you do what you are told in your OPORDs, the mission is key. Worry about only the mission..that is what the difference is between a real patriot and just a common thug.

You can't blame the soldier, sailor, marine or airmen for what they do because they are told to. Blame the people who are in charge of them if you feel the absolute childish need to point fingers

  17. SpitFire, we are SO far from it

  18. Why? Many people don't like arguing and disagreements and this and that. But I believe it's one of the best things in the world. The power to be able to tell someone "Fuck you, I don't agree with your bull-crap!"

that right there is pure awesomeness.
