Yes but I'm saying you can't blame parents for people's shit. Blame the fucking individual, it's their choice their decision. It's a excuse and a pity party to hide behind oh I have depression , oh I have awful parents , oh I had a bad childhood , yeah well lots of people do and end up not fucking up so put on your damn big girl/boy panties and go about your day responsibly instead of using everything as a excuse. Hmmm... My first drink every now and then was probably when I was 5 ish. But when I actually started drinking on my own was at 16. I'd get tipsy and stuff to the point where I couldn't walk... But at 18 is the first time I ever threw up when I drank a full 1 liter bottle of Red Label in the first 2hrs at a karaoke.... I threw up for about 2-3 hours. That's the only time I ever threw up. I haven't had a touch of alcohol in over a year but that's simpy because I'm in the US now and I'm just a few months under being 21 years old ? I love me some Jack Daniels, Smirnoff and Absolut. I dont like beer tho. But I like beer breath for some reason. Kinda like when you're at the gas station and you get that gasoline smell. I luv it ?
I'm not playing the blame game never did cherry. But if parents were more involved I don't think children would be doing the things they do today, or at least cut down on a little bit of the bad things they've done.

@abused you're going to over protect your child and that will be the exact reason they will go out and do the thing behind your back For example my parents did the same thing but It didn't stop me. Back in 8th grade my parents would drop me off at my friends house thinking I was spending the night. The would later call my friends parents before bed time to make sure I was still over there. Then at around 1 in the morning I would sneak out and walk over 2 miles to my girlfriends house. I would do that every weekend.
I'd sometimes spend the night at my friend's house but sometimes my gf would come with me. No sneaking out
Anya, my mom was up my ass constantly. I am nowhere near to the example people believe when they think of a child underneath strict parenting. If anything, strict parenting leads to problems, at least in my case. Unecessary arguing, constant anger, etc. Not saying that has anything to do with what I choose to do, but it's all about what that individual is interested in. Your child enjoys drugs? That sucks. There's always that child out of the bunch that participates in dangerous activities. To sum that up, just hope your child isn't that one. Life is based on luck.
@spanking couldn't have said it better my self. Parenting is a factor but only to a certain degree. Once the kid reaches the age of 13 they are more than likely going to do whatever they want regardless of what there parents have been teaching them.
However, with my last gf who I was with for 5 years, her parents would let us sleep together. While I was in Mexico I flew over to the US for 3 weeks to take her to prom. I stayed at her sister's house. We'd spend the entire day together and sometimes she'd spend the night and we'd sleep in her sister's guest room. Sometimes I'd spend the night at her house and we'd both sleep on the couch. My parents didn't know but her parents and sister did. But that's the only gf that parents have been okay with sleeping together. Lol. Since we were planning on getting married last year
