Pride 2026 ❤️💛🧡💚💙 A Note from One of Our Own Hello PIMD, it’s wonderful to meet you. My name is [ATA]Fox, one of the artists on the creative team here to kick off Pride Month with you. This year, we’re all about moths. While there are thousands more species of moths than butterflies, moths are often overlooked in comparison to butterflies. When you take the time to learn about them, you can discover an intricate, beautiful, and wildly diverse family of animals. Queer life has always existed in similar ways. Not always centred, not always celebrated, but endlessly diverse and impossible to exist without. When I was a teenager attending my first Pride, before the clubs and party scene were fully open to me, I found my place inside a local queer bookstore. There I was able to make friends, engage with local queer art, and see myself represented in ways I never felt possible. These spaces have historically existed as important third spaces for our community, not only to engage with queer art and literature, but also to gather, hold events, and exist together in all-ages and inclusive environments. Spaces like these have always played an important role in the growth and visibility of queer culture, but much like the moth, are crucially overlooked in comparison to the glitz and glamour of the party scene. Today, we are living through a cultural moment that seeks to push us backwards through book-bans, censorship, and the loss of funding for queer-friendly libraries. Because of this, I wanted to create something sentimental that pays homage to these quiet spaces that were so foundational to me as a young queer person. Art has always been deeply intertwined with my identity as a queer person. Through art and literature I have been able to explore my identity, looking inwards before emerging forwards, wings spread, ready to fly. I really hope that you all will join me this month in celebration of queer art, literature, and enjoying a comfy space to curl up with a good book with a loved one. Room is cute. Idk about the masc leaning avatars tho… I’d like a cool looking guy for pride without it looking like a stereotype for once 😪 fems get “normal” looking ones so why not mascs or masc leaning ones? I mean they’re not ugly but still…
I think the dorm is really cute! ✨ I just wanna say that I never feel there’s a gay man avi that represents me (& men like me) personally 😔 They always swing really far into ‘twink’ stereotype (NOTHING wrong with that I adore super fem twinks), I would just love to see a fem LEANING longer haired man but not too far if that makes any sense at all! I know it’s hard to represent everyone, but it’s been a few years now and I’d love to see a couple more everyday gays next year 🩵 (Big win for the bears this year though, go bears!! 😼)
I like the dorm a lot tbh, I prefer these subtle gradients to having rainbows everywhere without finesse. It can be on theme and still be cute. Happy pride everybody 🙌

I’m sure this isn’t what was intended to be, but the Snuggle Bear base looks like he’s wearing a diaper. The position he’s in, the color of the “shorts”… I mentioned it to a lot of other people and they can’t unsee it. Some have even mentioned that it looked like a MAP, or that his “Gooch” was out saying “hey, look at me”. I don’t know how to feel about that avi, it looks pedophilic, but I’m giving ATA the benefit of the doubt and saying that’s not what they intended it to look like.
The spinner is adorable — I really like it. The furniture is also exactly my style. Even though there’s such a wide variety of colors, everything looks harmonious and incredibly cozy. It actually makes me want to visit that room 🙂↕️ However, this is my third June in the game, and for the third time I find myself thinking that the avis feel very… hmm… stereotypical? Over-the-top? I’ve always felt like this is how the LGBTQ+ community is imagined by conservative straight people. Maybe I’m wrong, though.
If we do not get the emoji to join the pride chat can it please not be the preview that shows at the bottom of the main screen for our chats? This happens every time there is a special chat channel and it's annoying. I like seeing previews of my club's messages there and this overrides everything even though I didn't get the emoji.
