We want to encourage our players to spread love and make a real difference. You can also look into local queer youth shelter/center in your area to support your local community! If anyone in the US or outside Canada was struggling with donating to a Canadian charity for some reason (an issue that popped up with multiple websites), I highly recommend donating to the Elton John AIDS Foundation. Donation was easy and fast, the website was streamlined and informative, and it's a great cause.
Love this every year! If anyone is looking for a good charity to donate to, my favorite is always The Trevor Project, which aims to prevent suicide and raise awareness for depression in transgender teens without a support system. My brother is Trans and in the Bible belt, which is a very difficult place for anyone LGBTQ+ to be. I'm queer myself, so I tried to pay extra attention to him, but I myself know how hard it is to survive in an environment that tells you your entire existence is wrong. Thankfully I made it, and things worked out in ways I could never imagine, but the beginning is hard sometimes. And just one person defending you or at least understanding you goes SUCH a long way.
