But since you lack the braincells I'll help: 1- The stupidity of only dropping a set of sunglasses just like erase that, your already not giving any shards p/box you can just let people choose which ones they want 2- Whenever the bright mind that is coming up with this "new mechanics" talks again, just ignore them, they are terrible at their job 3- Actually improve potd clubs, instead of giving parties a new ipsy dibsy "look" that lets be honest nobody cares and most hit parties and leave due to irl, what you could do: - Improve drops amount, make a weekly event that involves the club you can throw a few bones there so people actually want to play and have extra resources to improve their accounts specially for the ones with low income that can't be wasting thousands on Barbie's. - If it turns "to difficult" for you to improve potd drops cause everything is difficult for you unless it involves cash grabbing your community, lower the side stories drop requirements to fit with potd clubs, and add more steps for main story for whales. I've done T10's before and the max step being 190k when I collect 1m more just for a ladder is dumb ASF, or make it reset you reach and collect 190k rewards it starts again from 500. You can literally make it reset like 3-4 times p/hunt. AND GUESS WHAT DUE TO MISC YOU ACTUALLY WILL GET WHAT YOU WANT THE MOST MONEY CAUSE PEOPLE WILL ACTUALLY HAVE A MOTIVE TO GO FURTHER ON DROPS AND SPEND MORE FOR IT. - And last and most important step, PLAY YOUR DAMN GAME, AND DO IT AS A NON SPENDER! You will understand rather fast the outrageous mistakes over and over that you have been doing year after year and hey maybe actually listen for once. I'm up to hire if you want a brain on the team 🙂
I've been reading a lot of comments about the new shard releases and wanted to add my own two cents. First, the pace at which new shard avatars are coming out is honestly kind of overwhelming. And expensive. It feels like a new set drops before we even get a chance to properly enjoy the last one, which kinda ruins the excitement of a new release. I understand the team is always working on new stuff and I appreciate that, but when there's no breathing room between content (in general) - especially with so many older sets still out there - it feels less about the player experience and more about just pushing content out. That constant rush makes it harder to stay engaged long-term. Second, this new way of getting avatars is just frustrating. I'm usually fine with changes if they help the community, but this mechanic feels way more complicated than it needs to be for a game that's normally pretty simple. And with the drop rate at 450 per box, it really feels like this is geared towards paying players only. Third, I honestly think the dev team should try playing with these new mechanics as a brand new, completely free to play player. Like actually experience it from our perspective. I think it would really open their eyes to how inaccessible and expensive things have gotten. And lastly, I really think bringing back the 'Ask ATA Anything' forum would help so much. It would give us a place to actually ask questions and get straight answers, and it would make communication between players and devs way more open and respectful. Just my thoughts though ✨

My thing is, I greatly doubt they'll do any of this. They've shown time and time again they care about their bottom line, between lucky boxes filled with crap to make the stats of getting new items lower (since they have to show stats), the cloud gift boxes that were only improvements since they took the crap from them after the Matcha debacle. The XC events that only cater really to top spenders who get avatar boxes they sell for astronomical prices to fuel their whaling. Molly stats and avatars going from a simple 199ec or $20 for an avi is now locked behind an offer wall that forces you to spend to get the one thing you were after (and yes they threw in shit to make it seem worth it but who even asked). Blueprints with shard drops lowered, the only good part is that we get a base avi for free for 7 days which is appreciated but considering how many ways they use avis to squeeze money from players it's a low bar. Shard boxes dropping like Capitol parachutes every 3-4 business days it seems–now this? A convoluted system only used to squeeze out MORE money. Like i and other players have said, this should've been something that dropped from parties–hell maybe POTD and PPOTD drop 3 types and EC parties drop the other 3 and we trade that way—that would've been good. But no from the chat changes, forcing players to change IGNs, renaming parties and now this? It's abundantly obvious ATA is only driven by profits, player experience does not matter. They keep saying it does but they've proven time and time again that's a lie because they want to seem inclusive, hip and whatever else but unless it helps their bottom line—they do not care. That's not speculation at this point that's a fact that becomes WAY more obvious as this game goes on and this is coming from someone who's played since 2020 and has spent a good chunk of change in the past but stopped when it became obvious to me they were getting greedy. The staff saw vanilla complaints and said—here's 30ec off. That's it, that's all, knowing damn well the price wasn't the only issue we had, they're gonna keep this up. This isn't going to improve, honestly my expectations for ATA is under the 7th ring of Hell
I'm sorry, how are y'all reading this thread and come to the conclusion to reduce the box's required ecs amount with 30? Like, majority of us voiced out that it should be a party drop so everyone can join and it wouldnt only be based on cash but playtime too. Like, some balance would be nice. Let the spenders have a shortcut by opening them while also let the brokies participate.
NOBODY asked for a complicated cash grab + seeing the updated cost to open a box with that drop amount vs the shards needed to obtain the avis, much more the vips, is just disappointing to say at least. Too much effort AND expenses for what? It would have been exciting if this was some type of event that involved drops from parties AND less spending of ecs, but I guess y'all are near broke to release something like this. The backlash from the community says a lot. Read the room and go back to the drawing board.
