My mother would've told Samantha to stop complaining. And coming to America is a choice. If we were so terrible to Latino's, they'd not keep coming.
Well... this thread took a drastic turn... went from asking about how to properly handle being a man, to talking about manual labor, to talking about inequality? What is even happening? This whole thread sounds like a teenager going through puberty... “so many questions? Omg... how do I handle life?” Requesting Lock
Yea... No shít. Is this your first day on forums? I’m well aware of TOU COC... I bend the rules better than anyone.
Why do you only make the point that immigrating here is a choice in relation to Latine immigrants, and not the Irish immigrants? rulebends
I knew you would say that. And what about the many issues in Latin America? Oppressive regimes, extreme poverty, gang violence? Are those hardships not also worthy? That's also what we Irish were escaping in immigrating to America. Escaping English colonialism, which exacerbated the famine by preventing foreign aid from accessing the poor Irish that were affected so gravely... many more issues. The famine was the last straw for so many because it was so serious, but the famine is so much more complex than just the potato crop was ruined with disease.
The problems facing Latin America are never going to get any better without good people staying there to make changes.
Are you sure? Even if you aren't consciously doing this because Jopo is Mexican, it is still perpetuating a stereotype.
The exact same thing can be said about we Irish, which is my point. There are plenty of people attempting that action in Latin America just as there was in Ireland and still is to this day in Northern Ireland, where we still fight English colonialism.
Sure. Anyone can Google a paycheck and do some photo shopping. You're so gullible, it's not even funny any more.
Why are you so stuck on jumping through hoops and grasping at straws to 'prove' Jopo works in a sweatshop allegedly? As if that's even supposed to be an insult. If anything, you should be doing something to stop the alleged labor abuse that you think Jopo is a victim of... Sweatshops and the abuse of employers is serious.
No, that's not the same thing at all. Having no food to feed your family is much different than taking control back of your own government.
Extreme poverty? Lol, they not in poverty unless they've just moved here. They get money pretty fast. Gang violence is their own fault. They don't have to be in gangs, they could just work, idk. They choose the other path
