  1. It wasn't even directed at Jopo.It was a serious post, and vice, I'll pay you how I see fit

  2. I meant extreme poverty and gang violence in their own respective countries. I think we can all agree that the third-world countries of Latin America are stricken with poverty, which is a viscious cycle. Oppressive governmemts can affect the ability to find good work. Gang violence in your neighborhood, even if you are not personally involved, puts the possibility of death in a shooting at a higher risk. It's full circle; it all affects one another. It isn't a bubble.

  3. All the more reason for good people to stay and fight

  4. The food issue WAS part of the issue of taking back one's own government, which I loosely explained by mentioning the English colonists' oppression of native Irish into poverty whereupon they could only afford to survive on potato crop, and when the potato crop failed the English government purposefully prevented foreign aid in the terms of food supplies and money for food from reaching the Irish poor that needed it. The famine was ultimately a preventable tragedy that was caused by English colonism. We Irish wanted to stop this government both before and after the Great Famine.

  5. And now, there are more Irish in the USA than in Irleand and the Irish are still persecuted by the English. Did that help things?

  6. The U.S. is larger than the two Irelands combined, and diaspora is a thing. Most Irish in the U.S. are not "pure", native Irish. They've got Irish and French and Italian and etc. in them. For example I mentioned I am 4/5 Irish. The other 1/5 is German.

Also, in the Republic of Ireland ー yes, we successfully took our land back! The country of Northern Ireland is still in progress.

  7. And that has what to do with the Irish freeing themselves?

  8. Exactly my point. It has nothing to do with the Irish freeing themselves, because you were saying it had a negative affect when it did not at all.

  9. Okay, if the USA stops provinding billions and billions of dollars in aid to Latin American countries all together. I'll support accepting well vetted refugees. Anyone with ties to gangs though, I shall never support accepting. Also, no welfare for the first 5 years after coming to the USA. They must be able to support themselves and pay into the welfare system before making any claims against it.

    Sound fair?

We can just let Latin America destroy itself

  10. Trainwreck of a thread ?

  11. Actually, I think American inference personally only complicates matters a lot of the time. Often times the oppressive regimes' leaders are supposedly democratic leaders installed by the United States... but that is another discussion for another day.

  12. So no? That's not good enough for you?

What is it that you want then?

  13. What? I agreed with you, Julie. The only difference was that I don't believe Latin America would completely destory itself.

  14. Okay then. No more forign aid!

  15. Ok, I still need my grass cut though... So...

  16. Do it yourself and quit whining.

I think Julie will agree with me on this one. :D

  17. I agree with it.

  18. Yup.

  19. You do it

  20. Ummm... That rate is pretty average in Southern California for many skilled tradesmen/blue collar workers. If the tradesmen are unionized, it can be more, depending on the classification on the worker. That is why a school (City/State/Federally funded prevailing wage job) pays more. The job will pay what the unionized worker makes so that the bidding process is fair for all of the contractors... usually specifically because of the documented training and certifications required by the government that most unionized workers obtain upon successful completion if an apprenticeship/collective bargaining aggreement. So, I’m not saying it’s impossible for him to be lying, I’m just saying it isn’t far fetched. Why are you so concerned with what he’s making? Stop pocket watchin and get your own.

Educate yourself in whatever it is that you want to do to earn money in life, so that you don’t have to worry about how long a job will last or how long an employer will be able to keep you on the payroll... or furthermore, when your shift starts/ends, when break/lunch is or whether or not you’ll be part of the ace cards in the deck if you reject overtime to live life. Besides, it’s not how much you make, but how much you keep and it’s nice to use a real bathroom instead of a portapotty on a job site.

Most employees didn’t dream of working the job that they currently have. Focus on yourself and don’t settle my man. Also, I personally don’t approve of the racial jokes... because you’re not finessing it quite the right way and it comes off as very ignorant of the injustices and discrimination his race faces on a daily basis instead of meeting on terms of endearment. Try to make the jokes more inclusive less exclusive and you’ll walk on that fine line with a little more grace. Just an observation.
