Where do they get those people chained up in the basement from? Do they kidnap them?

 

Wouldn't the kid be 4 years old since women have 9 month pregnancies??:/

 

It's not exactly 5 years later its been long enough for her to be 5 but not 6 years yet and ya they just kidnap them it's not a big part of the story though and I felt like him kidnapping the boy was good enough to explain that
