  1. I was at work. I remember a customer coming into the store and saying they'd heard on the radio about it that there had been an accident and one of the towers was on fire. Then everything started to unfold. RIP to all those that lost their lives and thoughts to those they left behind ️

  2. I was 31 and i was remodeling a house.

  6. Leaving the house for school and my dad turned on the news and I cried when I saw what was happening

  7. Physics Lab in HS. I was 15 and scared for my father who works in that area.

  8. I was in school. I didn't understand what happened. I remember watching the news at night still not understanding what exactly had happened. I couldn't watch my cartoons so I just knew it wa bad.

  9. I was about 5. I was home sick from school. My aunt from NY called to tell us, that night, my uncle was safe. He was one of the firefighters that survived that day. NY is my second home, I can never forget how proud I am that my uncle saved people's lives that day.

To those lives that were lost. May they rest in peace and to the family/ friends that were affected, God bless your soul for being strong all these years on this day.

  10. I was in 8the grade and living in NY. We were told over the PA of the initial attacks and our school locked down. After the collapse of the twin towers we were sent home early. Many of our family and friends were firefighters and paramedics. We sent many of the rigs down into the city that evening to help with the rescue efforts. God Bless America and stay strong everyone.

  11. I was in 1st grade recess, and they made us go inside ? I was so mad, the teachers wouldn't tell us why, and I ended tag by being it ?

  12. I was 7 years old back then and in my home country El Salvador. I didn't learn anything about 9/11 until a month later. My older brother and my Grandma knew about worry, because my mom had just recently arrived in the USA.

  13. I remember I was 12yrs old in english class 1st period. The teacher had turned on the tv after a few other teachers came running in. It showed the 1st tower was already hit. Even after the bells had rung for us to leave to our next class no one got up but just kept watching. After the 2ed tower fell down classes where let out but we all had to go to the gym. Too many ppl had family coming to get them by that time and things going crazy with phone calls needing to be made. We got let out early that day. 9/11 was such a big shock and the next day was no dif. As more info got out made you sick yet feel lucky you may not have been a target.

For everyone that lost a loved one on that day, I am sorry for what you had to go thou. Many good people were lost that day.

  14. I feel so old, I was 20 at the time and was at work when someone came through the parking lot and stopped and told us what was happening.

  15. I had flown into Vegas on 9/10 for work meetings and woke up to it on the news. Thought It was a movie at first...needless to say, the meetings were canceled. Rented a car with other coworkers and drove 10 hours home since flights were suspended.

  16. I was driving to high school, in the Dallas metropolitan area, and I heard on the air a plane crashed into a building. But they made it sound like it was a joke.
I had volleyball first period so we knew nothing until second period when I got to class and heard what happen and then watched the second plane fly into the building.
A friend of mine in that class, couldn't get a hold of her dad and he was supposed to be in the second tower. We found out later their meeting got postponed due to someone was sick.
A very disturbing part of that day, is someone at my high school took advantage of the situation and called I'm a bomb threat to the high school during one of the lunches. We had to evacuate the school for almost 2 hours. Just because someone didn't want to take a test scheduled for that day.
Some where worried and possibly lost loved ones, and a jerk then called in a bomb threat. This one was taken way more seriously than any other for obvious reasons. Obviously no bomb was found.
I then had a volleyball match that night where we had a candle light service before the match and a moment of silence since so many were affected.

  17. I was 5 years old. At home getting ready for school that day. Don't remember much except watching tv as the American Flag was shown and they asked us to sit quietly as the trumpets started to play.

  18. I was at homejust kidding idk
