Holy cow serious Abby?? Im gonna drop it cuz we definitely disagree. No need beating a dead horse.
Insault a mix between insult and assault? I like it Actually, I don't work in healthcare. I enforce US economic laws on foreign companies. But that's ok -- fed is fed. In many peoples' eyes, we're all sucking away at your hard-earned tax dollars (which we also pay, but that's, y'know, besides the point). I have great healthcare, through my government job (with a private insurer OMG not a government bureaucracy). I wish everyone in the country had what I have. This bill doesn't do that, but it gets closer. So
I've heard that from friends Abby, but it hasnt been instituted yet, yours will change also, wont be the same. Sorry to tell you that, but a bureaucrat will decide all major medical decisions. Nothing is wrong with government workers but expanding this government more is costly...no offense intended.
I meant the option to have what I have. I wouldn't force anyone. Goodness. Disagreement is healthy it is a reason America is a good country - many people with different views battle in the court of public opinion for votes and the right to move the country forward as they see fit. Ye olde democracy.
Obamacare actually gives employers incentives to drop out of providing medical insurance to their employees. (The fee to pay penalty is less than cost per employee covered.) This will lead to more employers dropping insurance and the taxpayer picking up more costs. Individuals will lose incentive to make prudent choices on healthcare costs because someone else will be paying for it. I don't think that anyone realizes that we are currently in debt not hundreds, or thousands, or millions, or billions, but TRILLIONS of dollars in debt right now, and for our government (which is made up of liberal <insert descriptive word here>) thinks we need to spend millions of tax payers dollars of things we don't need? Of course some people need help, the poor and the needy. But the pot smoking, high school drop outs, that are unemployed and sitting on their couch, don't need to be helped in the same way. And we can't tell the difference from those who deserve free stuff (if any), and those who don't. America was founded on conservative values and hard work and determination to give economic and business competitiveness to sustain a good market and economy. But health care takes all of that competitiveness out. So soon the doctors are going to get paid as much as a garbage man, even though the doctor works and worked twice as hard to get there, which will essentially make doctors take an easier job, such as a garbage man. Basically, our economy falls apart and we are all screwed. I work hard to keep good health insurance, and I don't think some people should just float along with free health care. I do think it is a good idea for minors and seniors, who either haven't had the opportunity to contribute, or have already contributed. But there are just too many other adults who would take advantage of the system, which is unfair to those of us who work hard. Sorry, I know a lot about this topic
Doctors are overpayed. Most of them are only doctors because of the money. Not to help people or because they love what they do. So if all of the selfish people quit, that would be amazing! Let them be garbage men.
I say just let it be, looks constitutional enough. There are plenty of things we are already "forced" to pay for. Let it take action, let's see how it plays out , then if it does not work, repeal it. And about the debt, I doubt any of the Senators, House of Representatives, anyone in those top seat, I doubt any of them care about the debt as much as the public cares. Not like we are going to get out if it any time soon. Wasn't it already in the trillions before Obama? I am just going off of memory there. So, just see how it goes and give it a chance. If it works out terribly, write your congressman to repeal it. That simple.
Good thing is, States still have the right to not participate...to a degree anyway, but some commerce laws may still hinder the ability. I'll be studying up on this some more after work.
Even though doctors get paid a lot, they're sti charged by insurance out the ass because of liability if a patient keels over and dies or the treatment just doesn't work or whatever. My friend is becoming a nurse and said she will stop there because when you become a doctor, there is so much responsibility you need to take. She did however, say that the best paid doctors at the moment are dentists. Because people go to the dentist because they want to (most of the time), but not because they need to, and the job is a standard, one part of the body procedure, not all systems like normal doctors take care of. Let's all be dentists \(^_^)/
I don't see why you guys are debating about this being unconstitutional. You've pretty much had unconstitutional things at work since 9/11. They tap into your e-mails, calls, tv, you name it (among other things rather than tapping). So the fact that this may or may not be unconstitutional doesn't change the fact that it'll go as planned whether you like it or not because of the amount of power people have handed over to them. The government doesnt care if we die or live, it's all about money to them and plucking off the weakest links Only thing they're doing differently now is bringing it to the forefront and dangling it in your faces. So while people are busy debating about democrats, republicans, etc etc, you're kinda missing out on what they plan behind closed doors to screw people over even more. Imo
You guys are forgetting about the disabled people! You know the people who are injured and can't work? Or what about the people who do work just can't afford to have health care I mean ever since I was 5 I haven't had health care! My dad is disabled and my mom works full time to support me my brother herself and my father! So Sometimes it's not on account of people being lazy!
EVERY DEMOCRAT/FREE LOADER AND LAZY PIECE OF THAT IS WORKING THE SYSTEM SHOULD BE TAKEN TO AN ISLAND AND LEFT THERE TO ROT. my opinion.
