The market is increasing. Plain and simple. Tutors that are "half stats" or "op" are being hired for a few reasons. 1. Too much money, not enough tutors 2. The tutor is really active so price doesn't matter 3. Tutor traders who don't give a crap. Everyone can play this game how they please. Nobody forces you to rehire a tutor that's hired. Some wanna hit over tutor hires, some want to go find another, or some will shop the person who just hired from them. Of course it's courteous to ask but nowhere in the rules does it say you have to ask to play a game the way others see fit. If you hit over a tutor then be prepared to be hit back. You play how you wanna play, so will others. No contradiction at all. Don't cry if you get the crap end of the stick. A tutors value is determined by the person hiring. Otherwise, there wouldn't be a VIP value leader board. I'm tired of people whining about their tutors being hired. Just hire back or talk it out somehow. If you hit a club member in Harem or Playmates over a tutor hire then we will farm you. That's how we play to counteract your style. ️
I posted about this in jet's old tut pricing guide... Only tut price that can actually have a price is inactives. Their kcs is constant, therefore can have a set value. An active tut really comes down to what the buyer wants to gamble on it. I personally don't hire tuts priced way high with a lower kcs. I do follow a general rule of half kcs, depending how active they are. I would never hire if someone was in a real war or sfw, out of courtesy. I've been hit many times, usually by old LCBC(not sure if new LCBC can hit me??) because I hire their way up tut. Plus the way my status is, it means if you hire my tut, you accept it as a free market which means I am free to browse your tuts and lol for up tuts as well. Time and investment in a tut is a gamble, if you price it at 150b above like someone mentioned (I forget who) then that tut SHOULD be safe from being hired from pretty much anyone. If it is anywhere near half kcs, then that tut is pretty much fair market.
Hiring tutors is a pain. I've been looking for active tutors all the time. Never can find any decent tutors who's pupils believe that their tutors belong to them. I hired one today from a friend who asked the tutor if it was okay in which she responded yes. He hired and I hired off of him. Then the previous pupil got upset I kept hiring her tut. Never knew her old pupil before my friend. People are so over protective over their tuts. I believe in free market and tutors go to highest bidder but I try to avoid drama. So just out of curiousity, do any of you believe a tutor is just yours? If you want an example, check my wall.
Ok what if the tutor does not want to be hired and its specifically says so on their status? Do you respect that or hire anyway?

I have ss of her saying she was changing her status to DO NOT HIRE while she was my tutor. So that status applied to me as her pupil Raven
It depends if they're underpriced or not Raven, if they're underpriced I will the pupil should do a better job protecting tutors they want to keep
@inkheart if yo tut is up it will get hire even if yo status says tuts not for sale. If u chose to farm over it u better be expecting the same.

Ok but tucker pupils do sleep you know and with cc its very easy to log off for 12hrs and come back to an up tut.
A tutor can't dictate whether or not they want to be hired. It sucks when you don't have the pupil that taught you, but if you outgrow that pupils ability to keep you, a status message doesn't stop it. It comes down to if the pupil took a huge gamble and priced it way high.
