Leon ik we've had problem before and I don't want to start an argument, but evolution has been proven. A lot of things seem complicated but that doesn't make them all fake. However I believe we evolved from something other than chimpanzees and monkeys lol i'm really not sure about what we evolved from. I'll have to search it
Well start your search with fish, a new study came out saying that we began as fish which is a large reason our skin developed the way it did. I personally believe we started as something closer to a dog but only because that is what ancient civilizations marked down in their text.
Yes I know fish were the first animals on the planet, even a long time before dinosaur. So we'd have to have evolved from fish, but that was billions of years ago. As far as dogs.maybe, I guess there's a couple similarities between us
They for the most part were written in like BC (or somewhere around then) as legends that were widely believed, and in some towns required to worship.
But why does it matter how close we are if it has had millions of years to evolve? Is anyone here following the lake in antarctica that is just now being uncovered for the first time in 22 million years, largest fresh water lake and it's bigger then The great lakes in north America.
That's a great point as well. In my opinion though if you use that logic we could've come from anything really.
@ And Then, I read an article in National Geo about the earliest temple being discovered in Southern Turkey, it has animals on the pillars so during the hunting gatherer period of man it's believed that animals and their characteristics were the first things worshipped and that civilizations began from this temple. I'll look up the name now so you can look into it
I was raised as a church of England Christian but ever since pre-school, I knew it wasn't right for me. I used to think 'if god made two people and that's where the human race came from, then how can the big bang theory and the evolution theory co-exist with that?' so I was dragged to church, but never actually fitted in. So, I was an atheist up until the age of 14, when I began to research Buddhism for a school project. I had seen other religions and never really understood or empathised any of them, but when I read about Buddhism it all seemed to fit inton
* into place. I joined the local Buddhist church and have been following the ways of the buddha for 5 years now
