and this is why im never going to beat my kids....so they don't end up in here

I always heard - why can't you be like so and so? They are so nice. I was always compared.  as a result, I still have a high ego 

 

Or when younger I'm sure most kids said "But [insert name]'s parents let them!"

And the response being "Well, I'm not _____'s parent."


Or: "If ____ jumped off the bridge would you jump too?"

My brother doesn't think before doing something most of the time, and my mom's boyfriend's reaction to it is usually "Dumbass" which reminds me of Red from That 70's Show every single time..

Mommy: If I ____ when I was your age, my mom would have made me get a switch from the rose bush and beat me with it!

my mom is indian tiger mom so yea got beatings with broomstick,sandals,sticks etc

 

My dad would make some absurd political reference, like "You know, Libyans used to tie their own feet together in trenches, so they couldn't run away from the attacking Italian tanks."

And I would reply "Ummm, and I hear they lost. Anyways, what does that have to do with me getting an A minus??"

My mom would just yell and scream about how I am a shameless spawn of the devil, and one day I will give her a nervous breakdown. Lmao!!

"Touch my things again and ill break your fingers"

"Yell at me again and ill skin you"

Don't touch your brother and ill beat you"

Mom: "Are you asking for it?"

Me: "What"

Mom: "This *brings out a GIANT pair of chopsticks* you want this candy don't you?"

Me: " holy ****"

Mom: *asks rhetorical questions*(answers) Who told you to talk back?! *beats the licing hell out of me*

I don't want to see your face!!...*walks away* (follows me while shouting. Grabs my hair and pulls me to the floor) ..Who told you could walk away and ddisrespect me?! Im talking to you (beats the crap out of me)

 

Dad: "I'd rather pay then deal with you."
I feel the love dad

 

My mom's French and Italian so everything is very loud/ emotional/ dramatic. Her favorite lines:
"Do you think your grandfather would approve?"
"Why can't you be more like [insert random person's kid's name]?"
"All you do is hurt me!"

? you people actually got hit. Omg, thats illegal (in uk at least). I never got hit, if my mum ever hit me i'd probably drop kick her then call the police.
Anyway

My mums fav thing to say was "go ask your dad"

my dads fave thing to say "did you ask your mum?" "What did she say"

,and my parents where famous for grounding me. My dad would ground me for say a week for coming hours after i was suppose to and i'd be let out the next day. Every time :lol:

And god only knows how many times my pocket money was suppose to be deducted and yet it never actually was lmao.

I generally was a good kid though, i made mistakes and i have 4 sisters, each were much worse than me so i got let off easy lmao

 

Mom: "shut up before I smack the black off you."

Me:?

 

Or like she'd ask a question and, my dad too, then they'd yell and then I get a whoppin' b/c I answered the question THEY ASKED ME, and get told to shut up. #confused child. ?
