Absolutely in love with the concept of an event like this. The rewards were lovely, and felt actually rewarding compared to previous events. Felt very devious when I finally became a vampire and had club members across PIMD trying to figure us out. Very cute, very interesting, and very fun. It had a few bugs, like other commenters said, but I really hope you guys implement more events like this one! It definitely made logging into the game more engaging. 🧛♀️🎯
Would be nice to have a summary after. How many vamps were in club how many got killed, infected, cured. A lil unsatisfactory that we don't even know who was vamp among us. But all in all a great event, with much potential. Feel sad for the guys joined us for flash at last hour and didn't get healed after 20parties with several doctors. While o got infected AND cured during same parties.
Like till Halloween at least! As for concerns for lb ppl cut the event now and give them their rewards and then continue it later.. that way the rest of us can have some fun
Here's my feedback on the event. Sorry if its too long. Also take it with a grain of salt as this is what I've gathered from my personal as well as people's reactions to the event. I was active a LOT of time for this event and was reading the chats too so here's what I have: 1. The fun and exciting parts: Personally, it was making the best plan on how to do things for Max LB points. Should I be a Vampire and Bite ppl? Doctor, Hunter or just plain regular human. I also liked the Ghost Bunny drops for being dead - kind of made the wait easier. I loved the bunny drops definitely and I also loved the Entire leaderboard rewards they seem plentiful even for the lowest of tiers. Don't change that. I also like the mechanic where if a hunter shoots a wrong target they die. Also liked the haunt mechanic - just a bit of silly fun. 2. What I didn't like: The thing that wasn't fun were the cooldowns. They were way too long for how short this event was. Now if you made it a 2 week long thing, then I'm all for it, the cooldowns were reasonable but for this short amount of time it was too long. The random chance of lists dropping as a hunter was a bit of a headache but you made it better in the end. The limit on Haunt Tokens was also not necessary I guess - maybe you can put in something where you can't haunt someone constantly or more than a number of times. 3. What was missing: Being a hunter was a total shot in the dark. I'd have liked if there was a hint to figure out vampires? Could've been the most subtle thing or even a random thing where you might've got to know about it. Though I understand that it might be exploited so I can't say much on this. Maybe something Vampires could control? But If they slipped up, it would be visible to hunters - that sort of thing. Another thing I hated was that there were absolutely no perks of being a doctor. No points, no achievements, nothing at all. 4. What was confusing: Honestly, it was pretty clear in my opinion. Nothing was complex as such. Plus it was explained in great detail and very beautifully in the Forum post for the event so I loved that very much. 5. What could've been explained better: The place where it was said there was a 100% hunter accuracy. Many people assumed that means a hunter will get one name from the party who's 100% a vampire whereas it meant that there's 100% chance of the LIST of 5 potential Vampires dropping from the party. 6. Balance: Cooldown Durations were long, Infection and Healing Rates were not too good either, could've been more imo but other than that, drops, scoring, etc felt perfect. 7. How I played: As a hunter, only killed vampires that wanted to be killed for the Bunny Drops (Another reason that was my fav thing), as a vampire, honestly just hide and not chat much, as a human/doctor/infected there wasn't much to do so just hitting parties. There were clubs that were specifically for getting infected or getting healed which worked out wonderfully as well. For Ghost bunny drops, just lbh hopping. 8. What was important: For such a short event, I'd say achievements were the thing that was most important to me. Infect 20 ppl was the hardest one since infection rate was very low sadly but the others were quite reasonable and balanced. All in all, I enjoyed this event A LOT. I really appreciate all of the Devs' hard work on it 🤗 Everyone was active for it and the CCs were a lot of fun. All the deception and planning that went into it were also extremely enjoyable. That's my two cents. Again, take it with a grain of salt. See ya ATA, hope you plan more events like this one.
Hi, I really enjoyed this event concept. I think for a while the community has been hoping for some new and refreshing content. One thing I will say, which is a common complaint is that timers are too long. Hunter spots are limited and having to wait for a 30hr cooldown between accepting the role is too long in my opinion. You don’t have a guaranteed shot at hitting a vampire, and if you miss you have to wait 30hr to try again makes the challenge hard to complete in 4 days. The vampire challenge was also too “grindy”. Having to infect 20 people when you could get shot or cured at any time, then having to wait 18hrs minimum to try again is just too long. Compared the other two challenges, this one is a much larger feat. In my opinion the infection rate should also be higher. After consistently hitting parties for 2 days I infected a total of 0 people… Going along with that, another challenge I faced was trying to get infected. While waiting for my timer (18hrs) to become a vampire I would get cured and have to start the timer over. At one point I got infected and cured 3 times in the span of 15 minutes. I wish there was a way to block being cured for a short duration the same way there is an item to block being haunted. Overall as a first attempt at a new event I think it went well. With some tweaks, -taking into account community feedback-, I am looking forward to seeing more events like this. Thank you for sharing some refreshing content 🙂
They will probably go out tomorrow or Thursday! Unfortunately it's a manual process right now so bear with us
Genuinely, enjoy the idea of this event. I feel as those the vampires were a little too passive - but I do understand that there needs to be a balance. I didnt get infected until the last 6 ish hours of the event. I think allowing vampires to target players with a cool down could have been a cool additional feature. I was only able to test out the hunter, but didnt end up with any hints before I took a shot and died. Being able to collect the drop as a ghost was a neat way to keep all roles involved. I am not extremely active (hit a handful of parties a day) so unless I died with the hunter, it seemed this item could've been easily missed given that I hadnt noticed being infected until the end. Would love to see more like this in the future
That makes a lot of sense! The way to mitigate this could be to combine both methods- allow for more targeted bites as well as random infection from parties. Yes, I thought it might be a pvp mechanic change such as with the special items. While I like the traditional mechanics, I do understand the general community does not prefer them.
Honestly, I feel like incorporating PvP into fun events like this is the best way to sort of demystify it to players that are a little more apprehensive towards PvP in normal circumstances! There have been some really well-executed PvP events that I think really got most players excited about it, including players that normally would have been perhaps afraid to partake. The two events I'm mainly thinking of are Snow-nanigans and Cryptid at the Disco, both in 2019. Here Today, Zomb Tomorrow in 2020 also gets a shout-out for being a relatively good iteration. But I think it'd really be good for devs to go back to previous PvP event threads and really parse the replies to go over any and all related feedback before implementing it again, so see what really worked and what didn't.
Complementary comments I love the updates (adjustments made to the feedback from the player) I hope this service is provided for the next event (that uses these mechanisms too) Keep the special chat so it’s easier and less clogging campus and pub channels. Keep information length and format. Players will be able to comment and provide feedback. It makes players break even more. 5 days was a good call for everyone to get a test for this disguise beta test without prolonging unnecessary. Keep the cost of the item to unlock/ enable the event at 1B cash. No webstore deal. No VIP version. No ec spending. Keep the cash version. This makes it affordable for everyone and visible in the game's store/ store. To be think of If we are to increase the number of roles and keep the length of the event within 5 days, It is hard for several players to try different roles. People process information differently. A flow chart would help more visual players while still keeping the different sections. Each role deserves some types of rewards Cooldown should be proportional to the length (duration) of the event and number of players joining the mid-event. The second edition of this type of event could be 7 days, this way the first 36 hours could be used to adjust the difficulty or any issues with glitches. After some thoughts, I think it was a good call to this on a Thursday, it varied from the timing of the hunt release and those who check the game only on the weekend get a chance to join the event if they wish.
