The most embarrassing thing your parents ever did

  1. Giving me "the talk". After I specifically told them I'm an aromantic, intimacy repulsed asexual. Apparently, I still needed to know how to be protected in a sexual relationship.

They couldn't figure out why I was crying and rocking back and forth during that conversation. I had to explain what it means to be an intimacy repulsed asexual. I mean like all forms of intimacy. I can't even hold hands without being squicked out, never mind take off my clothes in front of another person.

  2.

  3. Aren't rocks asexual?

  4. Rocks are not living creatures, and they don't reproduce at all, last time I checked.

  5. Oh. Must be trees then.

  6. @Raine. I ain't gonna quote your ass. But goddamn you must be really screwed the hell up. Can't touch another person like that? Everyone needs human contact. I hope you don't have a kid. You'll get hit by baby blues bad and won't hold him/her.

  7. I'm never having kids. Never getting married either. I have other more important things to do than create spawn for my parents to fawn over. 

  8. What are those important things?
Spawn? Nah. Ya call them babies. And babies are special.

  9.
  10. It's her choice don't judge

  11. It's a parasite. That grows inside a person. ? It's freaking scary. It makes you sick, and you can possibly die if things go wrong.

It's like genuinely a phobia for me. To the point that I would sooner die via slitting my throat than reproduce. I've been working on coping with that though. I can finally be around pregnant women without feeling like passing out.

As you can imagine, it's awful.

  12. I'm a potato

A child is not a parasite?

  13. I'm sure Raine doesn't despise children themselves, she just despises the idea of having another organism inside of her and other forms of physical contact and stuff. Nothing's wrong with that. A lot of the great people in history who have made major contributions to mankind had their own quirks. Well, everyone has their quirks.

  14. I'm put off by too much intimacy also, contrary to popular belief. I run into issues in relationships because apparently I need to express myself like that, and end up just being guilt tripped.
But it's not necessary. Hand holding is a tad horrifying to me as well, though I'm more paranoid about germs and such. It's just the way some people are, gotta accept that 
I find pregnancy fascinating though, such a miracle.

  15. I have no problem with her not liking the concept of a child growing inside her. I do have a problem with her calling a child a parasite. Good luck with that coping.

  16. Well technically it is, considering the definition of a parasite is: an organism which lives in or on another organism (its host) and benefits by deriving nutrients at the other's expense.
Though of course the expense is less with a mother.

  17. Scientifically they sorta start out as one but I can understand where that is offensive. Maybe she can be more politically correct with her words and everyone's happy. 

  18. Lord.
    ?

  19. Some people would rather die a painful death than face their phobias. What's so awful about that? 

  20. I never said it was bad. I just said "lord"
