Suicide Awareness Month

  1. She legitimately just said that people who suffer from depression don't try to commit suicide to get sympathy. People who suffer from depression need a release and sometimes that's how they choose to do it. Yes it was their choice to do so, but as someone who has wanted to die before, I would at least hope that there was one decent human being that cares if I'm gone. It's not for your sympathy, some people just want help.

  2. Thanks for bringing this up

    It's important

  3. ^

  4. The people that dont understand why people commit suicide are absolutly ... Like its explained in the thread did u even read it? An we dont care about it if u dont care about those that struggle with depression an let me tell you if u struggle with it u'd really want someone to be there for you but me i'll look the other way as u think its cowardness

  5. Same

  6. I understand that some people don't get it, but to not care is pretty messed up to me. I mean maybe they've never been in that situation, but still.

  7. Agreed, I'd still care too because these people don't understand because either they are uneducated or there beliefs may play a part but they are wrong regardless and if they ever do get depressed I hope someone is there for them to help them through. But it really annoys me when people say its selfish or show no compassion because it is not selfish. It is an illness and needs medical attention and to anyone that may be feeling like that know that you can get better you need to reach out for help, tell someone or go to a doctor x when you feel that bad it can only get better.. <3 everyone is important to someone

  8. I'm happy to see that everyone here actually cares if someone is suicidal or commits suicide. Well, ALMOST everyone that is. But those who don't understand either didn't have someone close to them suicidal, were happy for most of their life, or had met people they liked who were overall happy. Don't hate them though, attempting to hurt them over it could make you the person who cause their suicidal thoughts. That goes for anyone who knows someone like that IRL too.

  9. Jolly good show

  10. Yes.

  11. I don't think anyone is hating, they need to get facts and try understand it that's what people are saying, and I definitely do not wish anyone to feel like that , i get that its hard to understand depression unless it has directly affected you or someone you love but people need to realize itsan illness just because you cannot see it doesn't mean it is not very real xxx

  12. Nice thread.

  13. Nice job. Some people really need this.

  14. Its not an illness that can be treated by earthly doctors. Only God can treat the heart.

    Besides.. Look at all of the drug treatments available for depression that have suicide as a side effect. The problem is doctors are treating people with drugs to alter their mind instead of treating the heart.

  15. Each person has there own beliefs, but you cannot argue with the scientific facts, there are no drugs that are prescription that lead to suicide, otherwise they would be pulled off and never used again, I don't get annoyed with much... But that annoys me Im afraid.

  16. You've never listened to a drug commercial, have you?

  17. Xanax side effects
    Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction to Xanax: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

    Call your doctor at once if you have:

    depressed mood, thoughts of suicide or hurting yourself;
    racing thoughts, increased energy, unusual risk-taking behavior;
    confusion, agitation, hostility, hallucinations;
    uncontrolled muscle movements, tremor, seizure (convulsions); or
    pounding heartbeats or fluttering in your chest.
    Common Xanax side effects may include:

    drowsiness, feeling tired;
    slurred speech, lack of balance or coordination;
    memory problems; or
    feeling anxious early in the morning.

  18. Many medications cause depression and suicidal thoughts. I love when pple try to sound smart and fail miserably.

  19. While I'd love to argue, it seems that it partly true. Most prescriptions or medicines have more side effects that may outway what they cure. Also, almost all medicines cure the side effect of a problem and not the real problem. For example, Tylenol gets rid of headaches but not what causes the headaches.
