Well you cant say that as a fact, but I'll end it like this, we'll find out when we die if there is a heaven or hell and every argument on earth about creation vs evolution will be left for the next souls to wonder about...
Want to know what you can't say as a fact? The New Testament, or the Old Testament. That's a ton of scripture that can be refuted if you want to argue facts. The only believable things are the wars, location of Ur and Jerusalem, and possibly the traveling of Moses based on primary sources that may or may not have been influenced by early Christianity, yet the Arc of the Covenant was not found. (Except for that one group in Africa that won't let anyone see it, leaving skeptics to the dust.)
Like I said before, Christianity or any religion and science need some type of belief. You believe what you believe, and I respect that, and I believe what I believe, the Bible.
How quant. Didn't Judaism come first? I know the Greeks were polytheistic centuries before Christianity arose.
There was a spider found in China last year that was about 20 million years old i think, it was exactly the same as a spider that lives now which got scientists who believe in evolution scratching their heads. And if you really believe that everything, whether its us humans, animals or even the earth itself, came about by evolving, in other words chance, then you're one hell of an idiot.
Take an introductory course. I don't know anything about this spider but if it doesn't need to change then it will not have to. I think it was 1 million years for our ancestors to create a single new tool because the ones that they were using had worked just fine. Why adapt if you don't have to? Why move if life is perfect? That's my only solution or hypothesis.
I'm a Muslim, I believe in the Quran, which unlike the Bible, is flawless and has told us many things before scientists could prove them. Until about 30 years ago, scientists believed that the moon emitted light, yet its been in the Quran for over 1400 years that the moon reflects the light from the sun. That's 1 of many examples, but you read it and try to find a flaw in it. You never will.
"There can be no flaw in the Quran since it comes from Allah and Allah is without flaw." Or something like that.
Dare I try to tackle that Quran comment? The scientists in the Middle East were actually VERY brilliant in ancient times. There were many backward steps made by Christianity in the area if science/understanding the Universe. I am not surprised that the Quran has scientific ideals in it, but then of course many if not all civilizations in the ancient times were VERY superstitious. So of course they'd add a twist in there to make it sound religious .-. Thats kinda my go at it.
However, in my religion class from last semester I do remember reading that you can beat your wife, kill no believers, cannot be friends with Christians because you'll blend in with them, and own female sex slaves. I remember bullet points exactly.
As far as I know, it was just a religious thing where someone managed to bribe the animals onto the ark and then his family came on and they all survived and then some religious stuff about stone men being made by stones thrown behind Noah and his family
