Why was the divorce rate much lower back when most people did still involve God in their relationship then? It doesn't seem dumb to me at all.
I don't think it is only Christians but other faiths too. It is from faiths cling onto their books that claim they are "the word" of their deities. And unfortunately people fall for another person' swords because well... What else would you like to believe? It is hard to understand the Universe. I've struggled trying to think of it. But I find it unfortunate how gullible people are to the traditions that are passed down and how they follow traditions that are thousands if years old... Where those " sins" were simply taboo. The word " sin" is just a word to try to give a person authority to point fingers and make it sound like they are better. And I know no one reads my posts .-. But heck, its worth a go
@Wise-Dragon Unless you know the religion and unless you've been a Christian you can't say or have any word on the subject. You don't see me talk about any other religion besides Christian because it's a religion I believe in. And it's not sad that someone is following the words of god and follow the thousand year old traditions. At least we believe in something. What do you believe in? Nothing? That's what it sounds like.
I've put thought into it and come to a realization of my own to what I believe the Universe is and the creation, etc... ? I'd have to create a brand new thread to explain it. I see all the evil done by the faiths thats why I talk against them, ok?
Dan most Christians will tell you that we all sin. We ask for forgiveness and try to learn from it and be a better person in the future Don't you try to learn from your mistakes? It's the same thing. I think your connotation of the word sin is jaded…Only God is perfect.
I was Protestant Christian and Catholic for 23 years. I strongly believed in it and now I don't because of things that just don't add up. In those years I've learned that religion is bad but faith isn't. There is a difference with those. Religion itself will make you bigoted more or less because it teaches you that it is the only way to live right. But faith teaches you to believe on your own terms. Back on topic, it should be legalized because people deserve equality and acceptance from all walks of life.
Faith is evil religion is Beautiful. Faith brings differences. Faith is what brought hitler. Not religion I would compare faith to Muslims. Hear me out. Muslim is a religion of peace if I'm not mistaken. But there people who are claiming to be Muslim who kill because there protecting there faith. Not there religion.
ALL people deserve equality, don't deprive people. I don't think that any people who believe against homosexual marriage would appreciate it if they were deprived of that NATURAL right.
