But my answer to the question is yes, absolutely. It should be legalized. The world around us is changing and those of you that are too closed-minded to accept that will be alone in your beliefs before too long. Sexual orientation should not have any influence on how people see you, nor should it infringe upon your rights as a member of any community. Religion is a weak argument, and I wonder how many of you that so adamantly argue against legalization of gay marriage and homosexuality actually abide by the all the rules of your religion on a daily basis. Love is love. The photo I tried sharing was that circle graph on what would happen if gay people get married. The answer? Gay people would get married. I cannot fathom what else goes through the mind of those so hateful to not be able to accept that some people are different. I think I've said enough.
Yes, an opinion that interferes with the ability of others to live the way they wish to. An opinion that has a huge impact on political decisions. An opinion that makes others feel inferior and insecure. One that makes them subject to mistreatment and unjust judgements because of one characteristic. It's arrogant, it's bigoted, and it's cruel.
That's true but in my belief it's just what I believe in. I'm sorry I don't support gays. ? Hate me for it. ? i bring my religion because it's what I've been taught. It's inly a weak argument to other because they don't understand. Until you experience religion you can't really say much about it. I've been Bi Curious. And I've felt what it's like to feel for a man and I'm telling you right now it disgusted me. That's why I'm against it.
Spit is right You do only live one... So why not allow others to be able to live their lives in happiness? We are talking in circles in matters that just should be thrown out the window. Live happy, and allow everyone else to live happy.
For example: If you've never had a massage how could you say it feels good when you've never tried it? Because other people say it's good?
I say support it. I have faith myself, but I believe it's wrong to keep it apart. This tread was created to answer a yes or no question, opinionated debates are just tiresome. We don't need to keep having arguments that lead us into a never ending circle. If you believe that it's not okay, then that's cool and vice versa. That's my jazz on it.
Then why could you say you don't support gay marriage if you haven't been intimate with another male? Because a book said it's wrong?
If you read my past post I said I have experienced it. I was bi curious. And I also said it disgusted me.
Legend, I get the impression that you've never actually built a foundation of your own faith. You believe...but why? Before you can effectively defend the faith, you have to know what you believe, and why you believe it. If Christianity is "just an opinion", then thousands of martyrs across history have died for nothing. 11 disciples and friends of Christ were martyred for that faith, rather than renouncing it and living. Please...work out your salvation and what it means. Once you have done so, you may find discussions like these go much better.
"I bring my religion because it's what I've been taught" Need I rebut this? This is exactly what's wrong with the world today. You base your decisions on what has been taught as right and wrong to you, and let me tell you: the only thing constant is change. I advise you to prepare yourself to adapt to a society in which the majority of people accept many shades of homosexuality. I liked the comment about looking at history. It brings me to the point that once upon a time, women and African Americans had their rights restricted in America. And that changed, did it not? The squeaky wheel gets the oil. People stood up for the rights and changed America for what I believe was the better. And don't worry, I won't get overly patriotic; I'm just proud of those accomplishments. So my advice to you and all the other people calling homosexuals disgusting and telling them it's wrong is to adapt now, while it's not changed, so you don't grow and old and grumpy. Have you no compassion?
