Well done for bring of a bit of perspective to the game, Frat.. I've always said that pimd is a reflection of society.. Takes all sorts..

I've also seen the topic of sexual orientation brought up here a few times.. That said, I haven't seen it put so eloquently.. You've raised some really valid points about people wanting to reach out to others who are like-minded and/or experiencing similar life situations..

As a straight person, I can't begin to imagine some of the crap a LGBTT person may experience due to close-mindedness I'm today's society..

It's actually really disheartening that it still exists, and what's worse, that it's still such a HUGE issue for some people.. However, I have a theory that those who are "afraid" of homosexuality generally tend to struggle with emotions of love within themselves  it's easier to condemn than understand..

We all need to understand that sexual orientation doesn't define a person.. We ALL have similar experiences in life.. We feel love, hurt, anger, sadness.. There is no difference to our fundamental humanity! 

 I wasn't picking on alt. During my forum lurks I often come across him and I find him amusing. I was just pointing out that the comments were less "I support the LGBTTQP community" and more "I like dirty lesbian films." That, and OP asked him to leave. Absolutely no attack on anybody here. 
I'm here to play the game and support the thread, not hurt feelings.
