ALSO the above applies to drag kings and queens. many drag kings and queens are not sga or trans. these drag kings and queens are not lgbt. drag kings and queens that perform as part of their sga or trans identity are tho this has been a brief psa
Dont you think its ironic how the lgbt community is fighting to be treated equally by Hetero's and to be accepted into society but here you are rejecting microlabels from your community ?. Like you'd think you would be more sympathetic and accepting of those who want to express sexuality but you aren't. Like if you dont want to be accepting of others and their labels dont expect to be accepted as well Ygm? Lgbtq+ is about inclusion. Thats why the + is there
LGBTQ is literally everything except for.....yup, you guessed it, heterosexual. That’s the easiest way to put it in my humble heterosexual, but not homophobic, opinion. Oh wait did I do something wrong by saying homophobic? Coz according Webster’s dictionary a “phobia” is a grave disorder in which oh wait I don’t care and I’m just bored and it’s 4:42AM I’m sorry
if you are using “you” to mean the whole lgbt community, please don’t. many lgbt folks are fine with microlabels both within and without the scope of lgbt.
No im only addressing Kitten. Since she believes that only Lesbians, Gays, bisexuals and transgenders are part of the community
Chiibee directly quoted kitten and responded to her comment. It’s a fairly obvious their comment was directed to kitten. When no one is being quoted then yeah question who they’re @ing to Forum tip
Honestly.... I think humans are humans. Each of us are unique in the chemical makeup of our brain and physical composition. We encounter so many issues because we have come so far. Eons ago all that mattered was food, shelter, and reproduction. The fact that there are people who care so much as to be negative towards people who don’t share the same sexual desires towards specific genders. The fact that there are people awake, spending time and energy writing a post on a mobile game while people are starving and don’t have basic needs. The fact that I’m the second one, not the first one coz who f*****g cares, WE’RE BLOBS OF MATTER WITH A LIFESPAN THAT LASTS A BLINK IN THE TIME OF SPACE. Tl;dr: Mankind is a parasite and liability to the good Earth.
the original and actual label is lgbt. no q, no plus. and it wasn't created for people to feel included. it was a political coalition based on the similar oppression of homophobia and transphobia to advocate for rights.
but it HAS expanded as more people have come to grips with their sexuality on the spectrum. let people identify as whatever they want? if you ain’t about EVERYONE’s pride, you ain’t about pride.
kitten saying “being demisexual is just being normal” is such an ugly attitude to have. i physically went through it. i spent my entire teen years wondering why i had no sexual desire whatsoever, why i didn’t have fantasies about the latest hot celeb, why i didn’t feel anything. when i started dating and felt like i loved the guy, i then began to see him sexually - i never had before and now that i am not with him, feel no sexual desire towards him whatsoever. for her to say something like that is the norm is so worrying.
but that is how most people feel... a lot of people don't have sexual attraction towards strangers or people they don't know very well. that doesn't mean you didn't feel broken and it does not invalidate your struggle. no one is saying you didn't feel an identity crisis. but you were just misinformed to make it seem like that wasn't 'the norm' to not want to have sèx with people you didn't have other connections with.
that only highlights my point that more people are on the asexual scale than they realise! whether you like it or not, having ‘crushes’ IS the norm, a majority of people have crushes. for me, not having it and feeling nothing - it WASNT the norm. asexuality gets so much shït from other lgbt people. funnily enough, heterosexual people are more tolerant when it comes to it, as the only people who have ever made me feel invalid are those under the lgbt label.
asexuality is not inherently lgbt. i am on the ace spectrum. however that is not to say asexuality isn’t valid, because it is! but, as i said before, the end goals of ace visibility and education and the end goals of lgbt equality and acceptance are different. the issues aces face are different from lgbt. the issues lgbt face are different from aces. it is not helpful to either cause to place asexuality under the lgbt umbrella. now, if you are a demisexual ace who can be attracted to the same gender, or are a trans asexual, then you ARE lgbt! but not based on your placement on the ace spectrum.
If your sexuality is different from what is considered a completely normal cis person, which has everything to do with your sexual capacity by literal definition, you are lgbt
Stop denying people who have a different sexuality to be in lgbt all because you don’t agree with their label being here. They belong here just as much as sga people or gender changed people.
cigender heterosexual people are the only ones who don’t belong with lgbt . saying otherwise is a homophobic remark. goodnight.
