my maternal grandparents quit smoking cold turkey about 3 years ago shortly after my grandmother had a stroke. they together had smoked since they were 12, making them smokers for about 65 years. my paternal grandfather passed away before i was born due to mouth-and-throat cancer caused by a variety of tobacco products ー cigarettes, pipe smoking, chew tobacco.
dude, that's what my grandparents smoked. it's ridiculous yeah but it's a reality. also i am assuming she had to input her avg amount of cigs smoked a day
Yeah, she probably did. Goodness. I can't say too much... I smoke, but like, maybe 1 cigarette a day. Maaaybe 3-4 Friday/Saturday night when I go out drinking.
Yup, 35 cigarettes a day, but I rolled my own, so they were about half the size of a regular cigarette.. doesn’t change the fact I was smoking a crapload every day, and I went cold turkey when I moved to the US and thanks for the encouragement guys!
Good job on quitting! Also, sad to see an Aussie forumer move to the US. Where's the Aussie people dammit.
