Not sure how clear this will turn out, but this is what I've always been told at my school 

 

Where are the D's and E's? No wonder it's failing, you lot haven't mastered the alphabet yet.

 Just making a point that we don't placate students with easy A's..

 

There are education issues all over the world. Not just USA

 

USA (from when I was in school anyway)
A=90-100%
B=80-89%
C=70-79%
D=60-69%
F=<59%

So that chart should be
High Distinction 85-100% = B, A, A USA
Distinction 75-84% = C, B USA
Credit. 65-74% = D, C USA
Pass. 50-64% = F, D USA
Fail. <50% = F USA

 

My school is really challenging

90-100= A
80-89= B
70-79= C
Anything lower than 70= F
No room for error in my school.

 

Ahli I thought that was England, not the us.

87-89 B plus
83-86 B
80-82 B-
77-79 C plus
73-76 C
70-72 C-
67-69 D plus
