  1. My thoughts on altruism is that true altruism is rare. Many people who seems altruistic (doing things for others seemingly without self-gain), actually gain from doing things for others (bragging rights, feeling better about themselves, clearing their conscience, karma), so therefore, that cannot be true altruism. 

  2. Your not even Christian... Do you even u even understand the bible or the logic around Christianity... Christianity is for certain people not for everyone... So maybe it's not meant for you... So stop wasting brain cells and trying to shame one general religion with 100s of sects in it... So go continue sipping on your tea... Tea is awesome BtW

  3. That's exacty why I brought altruism into the picture. The pride we feel when we feel we're doing altruistic things is actually a chemical release in our brain thqt results from an accomplishment. Altruism would be present if we didn't anticipate the pride.
But it is impossible to tell. Some may just be doing it for that sense of pride. But I do agree that in some rare cases people actually act for others only.

  4. #BiSexualFtw
    Hmu gentlemen.

  5. The fluidity of gender. The total detachment of gender from sexuality means that any sexuality can be matched to any gender. Since we romanticized love and sexual attraction it has become irrelevant whether 2 people can hve children or not. Bi, pan, les, gay, whatever else there is to be imagined. It is olay.

  6. You used olay cause I'm brown huh????? That was uncalled for, man. You should be ashamed!

  7. Pride? Irony. Making mountains out of molehills are we? The arrogance of humanity is astounding.

  8. *Olays aggressively at cholo*
Chill can you elaborate maybe? I'm confused.

  9. No kidding.

  10. What molehill? What arrogance?

  11. His two words turned into your over two-hundred. His name turned into a debate over instinct, laws of nature, and sexuality. "I'm straight" could also simply be a colloquial phrase used in some regions to simplify "I'm going to be alright" or "no harm done to me... I'm walking straight without a limp."

Genius is not best used for making things more complicated... It is best used for simplifying them. You would do better to question the things that matter and ignore the things that do not. Humans are small compared to the universe and probably have a lot less influence on it, than even our highest intellects believe us to. There are just some things we were not meant to understand. We try to... then we fight over who has attempted the hardest to understand something we are incapable of fathoming.

So I say the arrogance of humanity is astounding, when people, with their tiny little minds, attempt a feat such as understanding the complexity and vastness of the universe and all its dimensions, in the few years we exist in the human state.

You then go on to say "but these are the facts... Pride is temporary. Humility is forever" and if that isn't a complete contradiction, I am not sure what is. I can, with great certainty, assure you. Anything man-made is temporary, whether it is tangible, or the opposite.

You could have made your points without involving those players' names. I believe you just wanted to say all of those things because you, yourself, have some uncertainties to deal with.

So, by now, from context clues and deductive reasoning. I hope now you understand the reply... "Pride? Irony. Making mountains out of molehills are we? The arrogance of humanity is astounding."

  12. something so trivial ?

  13. Tldr; Christians suck. Go die non-atheists?

  14. Nah. I don't get the irony part. Are you calling me proud of myself for writing that?
I think the ignorance of not trying to comprehend is worse than the arrogance of trying to.
You assume it is arrogant to attempt the impossible.
    I assume it is possible.
    That is all.

  15. Lol Pride is a Username as in American Pride. homosexuality is a Sin This I know I'm christan. So Please go somewhere else to talk about people... *Walks Away*

  16. He's saying its arrogant that you think you're so aboveeverything. When this guy just says "I'm straight" you go on to rant about him being arrogant and thinking you're so inthe right. At least that's what I think. I'm not taking a side necessarily.

  17. so why did you say you were straight?

  18. I think he thought he would get Supporters?

  19. Cause I know what you were thinking.

  20. You clearly still misunderstood. The irony is that you over-complicated a simple concept while at the same time, in your own post, were discussing natural instinct. I chuckled a little bit. We do not disagree that comprehending the impossible is possible, we disagree on whether to make every single random occurrence a debate over the unknown. The impossible was never part of this discussion by the way. I made no assumptions. I merely answered your question. Nice try... I guess.
