Re: People Interesting VATICA, yeah, sensitivity is also a huge factor. People are over sensitive about stuff, but in terms of death, I dunno, many people lack respect cause if it's not concerning them, it's nbd. I'm guilty too. If someone died that I didn't know, sure it's tragic, but it doesn't bother me. Have my sibling die ... and it will shake my whole world.
Re: People In regards to the death question, did you bring this up because of someone's thread concerning a member of PIMD who apparently died. Is it really wrong of us not to be as sympathetic to others deaths, especially of those who maybe we don't know as opposed to those who we do know. I think that's just normal human nature. When someone close to you dies, of course the pain of them being gone and their loss will hit you harder then perhaps, the death of your boss' uncle (random example). If someone close to me died, and people who weren't close with that person weren't sympathetic or caring, I honestly wouldn't mind. I'd be a bit wary, if they cared too much ? You can't possible grieve a random persons death. What exactly could you be grieving, a loss of life? Not to sound too glum or depressing, but unfortunately death is a part of life.
Re: People I dunno about you girl, but I stole the fountain of youth and it is in my bedroom just chilling out with me, so, I'll live forever. #Dreaming
No in all honesty I was watching that movie and I saw ppls comments on the world being too desensitized and how they act towards seeing something. I was thinking on that way before that thread came up. Did that thread make me question it more? Yes bcuz I like to learn ppls views. I do agree with Pickles that death is more of a wow effect on ppl and glorious sometimes. You can even compare new movies to movies in the 60's. Ppl wanted to see more scary things and death.
Taking the definition of desensitized... You say ppl are too sensitive but then also looking at Pickles statement about lack of respect. Ppl now days run questions if things are fake or rl. Like when I watched that movie many of them are old but you could tell it was real. Some still didn't think it was, so they made jks about some of it. Who is to know if it is rl or not? Ppl used to never make harsh comments about death or jk about it so openly in public. Do ppl carry respect for the ppl that have passed and families now days? I really don't think a lot of ppl do. Big difference of a game kids play vs how ppl are raised in how to carry ones self. So are generations slipping up on what morals we show our kids?
Re: People @smartass Lmao, you think parents are raising their own children? Negative. TVs are babysitters, and people pay hundreds of dollars a month for daycare (unless you live in the UK), or hire in home nannies to raise their kids while they work a 9-5 job. Plus, the government says you no longer hit your child (as punishment) or child services will take them away. People don't raise their kids anymore. Sometimes the kids gotta raise themselves how they want cause they don't know any better.
Re: People Well I am one of this new generation...I don't really understand why some people are like this...yes maybe I laugh at horror movies, yes it's kind of funny...but it's because I know that the movies are FAKE...not REAL...when I see someone grieving of course I'm there for them, because I know what it feels like...so...I feel ya
Skitzo I get if it is fake ppl will be like that. But if you are unsure something is rl or fake, where is that line you think ppl shouldn't cross out of respect? Or have ppl lost so much in morals now days to not know where that line is or nor care if they cross it or not.
Re: People Ok so death in real shouldn't be ignored or disrespected sorry...Idk much about how others act when someone has passed...I only know what I've done to the people that were close to them...
