Much appreciated, hopefully this will be a more uniform version between Android and IOS device users. the number of times, those differences/ inconsistencies made it sound like im talking another language to new players until compared screenshots. * Bad news, it will take time for the community to update the thread made by the players in an ideal time frame.
Would this new aesthetic help eventually blend better with (if ever the dark mode is in the table (that’s a HYPOTHESIS) if some players wish to opt-in light mode and other dark mode or even automatic mode (depending on their device / game settings) ? I am unsure if it was possible to put dark mode with the previous version.
Making things look more visually appealing will sure help the game run smoother, bridge the gap between players. I feel like I could have more productive conversations with a wall before ATA ever listens to their players and their feedback. I couldn't care less what the parties, icons and badges look like when there's other things that actually need to be fixed.
Literally. Stop. You are going to lose sooo many of your long-time players. We crave nostalgia and things staying the same. Do you want to kill your game? Because that's what you're doing. I've seen so many games due because of this exact same thing.
I am actually very into this! I love the Dog Star and Cat Cafe backgrounds. Also the rewards and trophies update. I’m not big on nostalgic things and I don’t think people come back on this app just because of what the parties actions are 😆. But I could see why some people liked it as it’s been around for what a decade now? It’s nice when games update little things like this. I know they could’ve done more with a balance for the maxed out people but better for them to get the parties sorted overall and then go in with the bigger updates. I just wish they would hurry along with it as it’s been asked since before the last dorm mates update. I’m sure the renames of the parties will be really confusing at first but I like where things are going.
ATA always fails to amaze me. Customization for these parties isn't even our priority, nor was this a highly requested update. Instead of prioritizing the safety of everyone in the community and allowing players to progress without being hindered by a pay wall, you have neglected and ignored us once again. We voice our concerns in the Forum, and we get ignored. We inform suggestions and changes that need to be made in tickets, and our conversations get closed. You guys like to put up this act that you genuinely care about our opinions, but each change that is made, has me questioning more.
ATA, I think you either completely missed the memo of who plays this game, or you are somehow hoping to attract younger gen z/gen alpha. We *liked* the hipster era, we *liked* the corny references, we *liked* what made us play this game in the first place - which was how delightfully 2010s this game was and felt. You started losing the plot few years ago, but this shows precisely how out of touch you are with your own community.
new awards are good but everything else feels so unnecessary. changing the visuals and names of parties serve no real purpose and i would argue that the latter just makes things even more confusing for people. rebalance stats in relation to party hits instead like people asked for.
I honestly like the update, and as ATA has said before, different teams are assigned different roles. I'm sure the party rebalancing team and the party art revamp teams were separate teams, and the art is easier to redo than rebalance the game. I'd love an update on how that rebalance is working, for transparency reasons. I think noting that progress is being made even if it still isn't ready to implement is good. The Hipster revamp is the most jarring but I'm sure the community will adjust. I did see quite a few players complain about Hipster parties being outdated in various other announcement posts, so ATA isn't incorrect that players did request this.
Ok. I like that the first real note is that “we didn’t change the balance like yall asked” but the car party is cute i guess.
I do like that you are improving the visuals for the game, but I question how this will keep new players staying. sure, you have your whales, but there’s no much going on to keep players that interested, let alone want to spend on the game. are there plans to implement more to this game or is this just it? No wars, no farms. Just party fairies and shards.
Thanks for making me feel old af with this update 😩😭 Wasn't necessary and I agree with the people saying it was a waste of resources.
