My very first Interview

  1. Oouu, okay. I pretty much have my resumè remembered to the T bcuz I have no experience at all. So, it's not much to remember.

Staying calm is gonna be the hardest part for me tbh bcuz my anxiety is ridiculous.

  2. @Nemo here are some starting points on questions you can ask an interviewer.

Some pointers: maybe bring notecards with questions you want to ask, and bring a notepad and a pencil to take notes on the interviewer's responses. It'll make you seem more professional and serious.

  3. be honest & good luck

  4. O I can definitely bring my little black notepad, it'll be so cute.

  5. Be honest. Be laconic. Speak only when spoken to by your superior. Show that you will be obedient.

  6. What you wear is also important, as a lot of interviewers do rely on first impressions and clothing plays a lot into that. Here are some tips for what a woman should wear to an interview.

  7. If you have time, have someone with a job interview you to practice. If you get nervous or stressed, ask for a glass of water and calm yourself down.

  8. O yes, I already have my outfit picked out. It's not too professional but also not too casual. I wanted to be safe, haha.

  9. I love those words.
    Superior & Obedient.

  10. Overdressing is as much as a thing as underdressing. Pick an outfit that matches the job you're getting interviewed for

  11. I recently had my interview at Lockheed Martin, and I was so nervous after receiving an invitation for the interview.

Conduct your research on the company and Google about the interviews conducted by that company. Stalk important employees on LinkedIn, and make sure you are thorough with your CV. Try and be optimistic and believe that you can do it. Nervousness is natural, and interviews wouldn't be interviews if you are not nervous. Practice in front of a mirror.

Strange tip: Chew a bubble gum few minutes before the interview. It'll make your mind assume that you are hungry and eating. One doesn't eat or feel hungry, when nervous, and that can reduce your nervousness.

    All the best.

  12. My bf playfully interviewed me the other day when I called him and pretended to be applying for some job. I'm too nervous to actually practice w/ someone.

But ig I'll have to get over that.

  13. IS THIS AN ACTUAL THING? Bcuz I legit waited until I was hungry to make the phone call about the position I applied for due to the fact that I felt less nervous.

  14. I read it in an article about interviews. I cannot say it worked perfectly for me, because along with chewing a bubble gum, I was constantly talking to my cousin about random stuff so that I don't even realize that I have an interview.

  15. Lol somehow true. I did that earlier before our reporting. I ate like 2 packs of mini mentos ?

  16. LMAO bet there was a whole rumbly in your tummy

  17. I worked at a Zaxby’s for a year in HS. Literally just be zen. Wear a pair of slacks with a nice top and some flats.

Sometimes the restaurant is owned by individual people instead of the actual corporation, so do some research. The one I worked at had a very Christian owner who liked fishing so I did a little digging to be able to relate to him.

  18. Lol thank God it doesn't rumble. Try it before your interview

  19. Aye, tysm. I heard the one that I applied to is low-key a weirdo because he only hires cute teenage girls.
