Our goal is to allow participants to learn more about photography as an art form and discover a new medium that is accessible to all. This event will run for one week, from July 1st @ 12 pm PST to July 9th @ 12 pm PST. There will be 4 themes, and each theme will have 2 days for participants to submit their entries. Rules ✩ You must take your own photos. The device you choose to use is up to you. ✩ All submissions must have your handwritten IGN. You can provide a second photo with your IGN (in the same spot) if you would like your IGN to not ruin your photo. ✩ All submissions must include a screenshot of your photo’s metadata. Check below for how to find metadata on your device. ✩ Plagiarism in any form will not be tolerated and will disqualify you from all prizes. ✩ All entries must be submitted in this thread or in the PIMD Discord server by the deadline to count. ✩ All entries must adhere to all aspects of PIMD’s Terms of Use. ✩ The use of Alts is not allowed. Only one entry per person is permitted for each theme. ✩ In respect of this event and other artists, please take the time to make an effort on your entries. If you did it in 1 minute just because you want a mod crate, this may be grounds for disqualification. Failure to adhere to these rules may result in a forfeiture of potential prizes. If any of these rules are unclear please ask. How Will I Find the Themes? There will be a new theme every day. Each will be announced in this thread at 12pm PST on their respective dates. You can do so by pasting your link from imgur, and hitting "go". Copy the new link. ✩ Go into forums and press the landscape button. How to Find Metadata for Mobile iOS - Go to your photo - Click the information icon (Looks like an “i”) - You'll see metadata like date, file name, size, resolution, and sometimes location (you may leave out the location). Android - Open the Gallery or Google Photos app. - Tap the photo you want to inspect. - Swipe up or tap the three-dot menu (⋮) and choose "Details" or "Info." - You'll see metadata like date, file name, size, resolution, and sometimes location (you may leave out the location). This is a cute idea. I like that it's accessible like drawtober but emphasizes a specific medium. Amazing job to the creaters 🩷 I look forward to participating.
My phone is android but picture info is steps you put for ios. But i just use my phone gallery not google whatevers

Good question! We are allowing minor editing but you have to do the editing yourself and it cannot be fed into any programs or AI where it essentially does the work for you. We’ll also ask you to show process photos like layers.
This is so exciting! Can’t wait to see the themes. Is there any disadvantage to submitting images later in the 2-day window? Like on the second day instead of the first? Thanks so much
By “handwritten ign”, does it mean we can use a photo editing app to write our ign on the picture? Or we gotta write our ign on a piece of paper and hold it up in our actual picture itself?
IGN will need to be held up on a piece of paper, but you can include it in a secondary photo if you would like to keep your submission clean
Only disadvantage would be if you get busy and are unable to submit on time or if you have some type of issue with your submission you may need to fix. Basically anything that would delay you that you didn't originally plan for.
If I were to do this on my phone with basic editing (sharpness/contrast/hue/etc) would a version of the raw and edited be sufficient enough? (Ofc with ign/metadata) Would metadata for both raw and edited images be required as well?
