  1. Did you guys even read the newspapers that was attacked ? No. Didn't think so.

I do, I'm subscribed to it. Of course they make jokes about religion, they make jokes about everything in the French society. But you see, they did a lot (of great) jokes and cartoons about ALL kinds of religion, and the only one sending death threats is Islam. I'm not here to criticize anything.

The newspaper had the rights to do it, if you can't joke about religion then you are not free.

And for those saying that newspaper will stop publishing cartoons about Islam and religion is crap, no one will give up their freedom of speech, at least I know our journalist have guts.
Btw, at the time we are speaking, they are already working on the next newspaper for Charlie hebdo.

  2. What they did years ago and kept doing, jokes, is legit and totally right.

If some people might have been offended, a letter of explanation would have done it.

Killing is and shouldn't be ever a way to do it.
This is terrorism and none of us should feel afflicted by it as it is the goal of it.

  3. So from what I gathered from this thread people that make a newspaper got killed for making jokes about various religions? Freedom of speech comes with a price. They knew what they were doing and they knew there would be consequences. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong please)

My condolences to all their families who lost someone.

  4. Still viewed as an act of terrorism.

  5. Of course freedom of speech has a price, a price worth paying, like the old culture minister of France said, their death is a way to prove France is not afflicted by its price.

  6. I think they made jokes about various religions but we're attacked for their jokes about one specifically. And yeah..still terrorism. Freedom of speech isn't illegal but murder is, jussayinnn
