Canada sounds nice. Health care right? Is it true the rumor that the Health care there is free and does it cover everything if that the case? Because man, the fact we need to pay for it here is fucked up. I'm sure Canada though does not have incidents like these. If they do, probably waaaay less often
Eh that experiment people say was to show that people inherently abuse power when placed in positions of power but that experiment was flawed because the person running the experiment was not only the head guard he influenced his subjects to abuse the "inmates" in the prison. It's actually a very flawed experiment...
Canada's health care is just really bad that's pretty much it.. like not bad as in violence but they're stupid when it comes too health care And Dan shush you're making this all about what I say and what I believe in.. It's useless and pointless to make an argument over what I believe in and say
But you also are gonna hear more about the bad stuff, it's the news they tend to do that. So it's kinda hard to judge America based off of that. There are good places just like there are bad places, it's like that in other countries too ? I personally love and hate America but I was born here and even if I hate this city I live in currently cuz the weather is stupid in my opinion and it's quite boring. I'm not denying it's flawed. It states that in it's criticisms. However I do believe it to some extent. Like how people slip mindlessly into roles. Bear in mind that I'm not dismissing other factors that may be playing a part.
I just read most of the effects of the experiment from the website. What I got most from it is roles and how quickly everyone fell into a roll. But yes it was very flawed in many ways. The man who was in charge of the experiment even admitted it. Aside from the argument I'd like people to focus on purpose of this thread ️ And I remind everyone to please at least observe and research for yourself before stating any opinions. I have seen that video where the police killed that big black guy. Where is the resist in that? He couldn't breathe; of course he's gonna struggle. There was an incident down the street from where I live where they shot this one guy for "resisting." There was no resisting there either. And amongst everything else, on St. Patricks day, they've broken a few phones of peoples that were recording some police brutality. I agree with this thread, spread the opinion and awareness of police brutality.
Max , please take that statement back. There are some good jobs. ? I did thank some police in a final statement. Please keep in mind the portion of police who do nothing but make a positive impact in communities.
To be sure it's an interesting study, what's even more interesting however is despite the influence of the head guard and their fellow guards certain guards were very very nice to the prisoners. Showing that even while others fall into roles. Not everyone is destined to be a huge asshole even after being devised to be one. Altruism is the main aspect of what distinguishes us from animals. But anyway I digress, i think the importance that comes out of this really is educating yourself about your rights as a citizen.

An abuse of power is everywhere and has been around since early civilization. So, it doesn't matter if the video is real or not because we know the problem exists and something has to be done about it. The justice system is flawed because there are so many gray areas with justice so I'm not even sure if we can find a definite fix for this. What we can do is encourage an environment where people can be ethical and not be laughed at or ridiculed or in danger.
