  2. Learned to drive when I was 16 in Mexico. I worked and bought my first car, a black 1999 Civic EX. I learned to drive after I bought the car. My dad said, this is the gas, this is the brake, park, reverse, neutral and drive. And then I went out and ventured Mexico. No license but only got pulled over once for speeding (80 in a 50) and just gave the dude $100 pesos and he left me off.

Moved back here when I was 19, did a practice test online, went to the dmv, did the computer test, passed 100% and then the driving test and passed 100%.

  4. Mexicans these days ?

    Jk I learned a similar way. 

When I was 13 in Mexico on vacation, they thought I was older than what I actually was because I was tall. So naturally I got away with a lot of things, one of the few was lying about my age.
When I was hanging out with one of the local teens I asked if they would show me how to drive. They said sure. I got on a truck and they taught me the basics. Gas, break, and steer. I didn’t get parking right away but it wasn’t that important since there were so many places I could park. So I learned basic stuff and drove like a maniac because I love to speed. I didn’t get pulled over but I did get yelled at. I was no longer allowed to drive a car.
So I started riding horses instead. Later that summer they forgave my recklessness on my driving skills and taught me how to drive a motorcycle, it wasn’t hard but I was still scared because they taught me how to drive at night, while they were drunk ?. No one got hurt, I didn’t drive till the following year when I went back to Mexico and they taught me how to park. By the time I was 15 we took the drivers test at school and I got 100%. We took driving lessons and I sucked because I was terrified of all the cars in the school parking lot and the random kids walking in the lot. Eventually I got used to it when I was 16, I took my driving test after I did my hours and failed 2 times from the school. Eventually I got a different driving teacher and I passed 100%. I went to the DMV to take the real state driving test and passed it the first time. So far I’ve only fell asleep behind the wheel 10 times and crashed one time. Am I a bad driver? Yes.

  5. I've been driving from I was young easy fly true

    • At 18, you can take a 8 hour class here in my state, and at the end they give you the written test. If you pass, they give you your permit and then you take the slip to the DMV for the driving portion. You have to make an appointment like a 4-6 weeks out because they are always packed. So I got my permit and then practiced about a month and took the test. I had to because in the Fall I was going to college and needed to drive myself. I couldn't afford to fail either and have to make another appointment another month out.

I was nervous AF. I did okay until the parrellel parking portion, which they are notorious for failing people on. I knew I could parrellel park great! But my dad's car was so tall I couldn't see the stupid pole behind the car from any windows or mirrors. ? I had to blindly guess where I was parking. I told the lady I couldnt even see, and she said oh well, do it anyway. So I did, and she was all, "you're way too far away from the curb", and then I asked if I would've been better for me to hit the pole. The look she gave me, I really thought she was going to fail me. I passed though.

I did turn the wrong way down a 1 way street into oncoming traffic in front of a cop once though.?

I bet you won't be as nervous this time since now you are familiar with the route they'll have you take. Good luck!

  6. Oh btw, I got my license finally last month! <3

It took 3 tries, but I got it.

    • Congratulations!

  10. One time. No interesting story.

  11. I didn’t take it but got my license anyway. My first time on the road was going to my first job for the first time, and I had to parallel park. There is a god.

  12. You didn't take the test but got your license? HOW
