He said that soldiers only join cuz they can't handle a real job and that they are to dumb for college. Funny how many ppl in the military are educated and some are doctors and I'm pretty sure he doesn't know how to fix a fighter jet.

Having quoted that, I must point out that these men and women put their lives on the line each and every day to protect and keep our way of life. You may not agree with the politics of the situation, but it is not the soldiers position to question where he is sent or the horrific things they must endure. I have nothing but the highest admiration for men and women in uniform, and appreciate the veterans and the deceased that have given me the ability to be able to express myself freely and openly.
Wow, just wow.....as the daughter of someone who fought in not 1 but 2 wars, seen crap no one should ever see, I have nothing but respect for the military. Anyone disrespectful should b ashamed.... Smh
I'm all for the military They do a job that risks their lives everyday, and that majority of people could never ever do. I have all the respect in the world for them They keep my country safe everyday, and there's almost no way to ever truly repay them for their service. The dude saying someone should hang themselves for saying the military is dumb and pointless, is a bit ridiculous
Aha you know ever since I joined the marines I always hear crap like that and that's because they don't know our life's they don't know what we do and basically when they find out its something bad and really that's not us it's usually the jack asses who are running around thinking its still high school now I've been serving 2 years now and I'm proud and really if he thinks we're stupid then forget him but really he should be thankful because we all put our lives on the freaking line to watch all of you people so you can have homes, parks, schools, businesses, and all that home good stuff like Tv's, and all that other junk look basically be thankful that we watch after your back and keep you alive ..
Other than the world wars, I'd say most other wars have had nothing to do with protecting ones freedom or way of life, it's been more to do with acquiring oil or some other resource the aggressor has wanted. No one benefits from war excent the ones selling the weapons and the rich. Governments never tell the people the real reason for war but make up lies etc to justify it.
