What about our bomb droppings in just about every war we've been in? That didn't kill civilians? The US is capable of civilian murder, just like every other country.

I don't wanna hear about "acts of terrorism". Don't get me started there. And no, America is by no means innocent. Not is any other country in the world.everyone just does what they have to do.

 

Oops, there it is. No one HAS to do anything. No one HAS to drop bombs on innocent people. No one HAS to shoot that soldier through the heart. No one HAS to kill.

 

I would save a civilian at all costs. When we signed up for this job we signed up to protect. We also signed up knowing the chances of us dying were great. But a civilian, they just didn't choose the same path. Therefore yes, values of life's are different. That is just my opinion.

However I felt and feel about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, I volunteered to enlist in order to serve something higher than myself. In spite of the mistakes my country has made, the United States is the paragon of nations and I was honored to serve.

In my 8 years of service in the USMC, I earned my MA and am now studying for my PhD thanks to the magnificent benefits provided to veterans. Dozens of Marines under my charge earned degrees and developed the mental, physical and spiritual aspects to peak condition.

Making derogatory statements about my brothers in arms is ignorant. Period. The warrior tradition is rooted in the human condition, and I am proud to be part of that heritage.
