Shelby looks around quickly and sees an old discarded duck keychain on the floor "I collect rubber ducks" she says very quickly as she smiles instantly. Tristan looks at her puzzled then he smiles wide. "ok that's good to know" haha he smiles. Tristan and Shelby hang out talking for a while until the rain stops and Shelby drives home when she gets there she sees her dad eating dinner. She sits across from him. "dad is what we do bad" she asks concerned. Her dad stops eating and looks at her smiling "of course not dear we punish the wicked, what brought this up" he asks confused "well I saw a news report about a cops investigation and I recognized it as one of the people we killed" she lies and looks down sadly her hair covering her face "oh please don't be sad Shelby those people they just don't understand ok we kill bad people but they just see us as killers do you understand" he says looking at his daughter in concern. Her hair still covering her face she smirks knowing she can get him to tell her anything now. "but why do we do what we do dad" she asks his face suddenly gets very Grimm "it's time you knew about your mother and sister. A group of drunk teenagers decided it would be fun to start a fire. it caught our house. I told your mother to take you and run outside while went for your sister some wood collapsed in between me and your sister the whole room burned around her and I screamed and fought as I watched my little 6 year old girl cried and screamed for me to help her as she stood in the middle of the flames the light almost making her hair look blonde her pjs staring to Synge her teddy bears which she was holding onto by the leg started to catch fire. And I watched as she burned unable to save her. eventually the fire fighters pulled us from the house but it was to late her body was already a crisp. A few hours later your mother killed her self at the thought of losing her child that is when I started those boys were the first and I have punished people like them ever since." a tear rolled down the mans face. Shelby stared at him in horror. At that moment she grabbed a knife walked down stairs looked at the people chained to the wall found a man who looked maybe 19. "do you drink" she yelled at the man. He nodded his head up and down. Shelby smiled "good" and she drove the knife slowly into the mans stomach.
Four year old Shelby opens the door and looks down to the basement she sees a man in a hokey mask with a knife. He hears the scream of a man "run Shelby! Run!!!" 17 year old Shelby awakes holding her head. "ok I'm having a dream about dad but who was that guy that told me to run from my own father." she says to her self confused. She climbs out the window for fun and drives off to go see tristan. Her dad watches out the window. A woman sits behind him. "She can't remember the truth darla." he says sadly while looking down. "she's going to figure out eventually that you aren't her father and if she figured it out on her own who knows what she will do." darla says confidently "I've kept my people off your back for year because I believe the people you kill deserve it but taking that girl was wrong especially if you consider the truth." "I know darla but when I looked up at that little girl standing at the top of the basement stairs her blonde hair, her pjs, the teddy bear in her hand, and the look of terror on her face I saw my daughter and I just had to keep my little girl alive." Tristan waits for Shelby at the school again they hang out in the woods hiding in the dark. They walk slowly smiling. Shelby looks at Tristan "I'm glad he's my friend I don't want to ruin the for the world even if I do have a little crush" she thinks to her self she smiles "hey Tristan watch this" she hops up on the edge of the cliff and balance. "carful Shelby we don't want you to fall into the lake down there." he laughs Shelby giggles and loses her balance she falls and hits the water hard nocking her unconscious. Tristan's immediately dives off the cliff and into the water after her. He grabs her unconscious body and pulls her to the shower he starts giving her mouth to mouth. Her eyes open and Tristan's smiles down at her there eyes meet. "on second thought the world might be worth it" she thinks to her self starring into his eyes.
