You only need flashlights for the main story and leaderboard avatars. The leaderboard avatars you need a bunch of flashlights and have to compete for top 100/top 10. For main story you need 8,000 flashlights for the first avatar box and 16,000 for the second avatar box (VIP). To get the other two avatar boxes you need to finish first and second side story which you don’t collect flashlights for. Second side story also gives another vip avatar box. The avatars with the phones are from lite boxes and boxes you need keys to open which drop from parties and the avatars with onsies you obtain through 3rd side story and 4th side story (vip versions in 4th).
