Very cool, I did not know there was a special major geared towards helping people with visual disabilities, thanks for sharing! I'm on an extended break, but once I go back to college I'm hoping to finish my degree in Education, most likely focusing in ESL (English as a second language) or Special Education.
Thanks guys! ESL is a very good career to have, especially because of the predicted diversity increase within the next 10 years I took an ESOL class last semester. The content was repetitive, but really really cool!
Thats so cool... X3 youre such a nice persom Shan. To be able to help people in needs is really amazing. I hope eveeything will go well ! Im a college freshy! without a major lol everyone wants me in deh medical field... i dont wanna be in the medical field.. But i am thinking about vet though
Keep your options open, Jane. This definitely was not something I wanted to do a year ago haha. Since you're in your general studies, you should look into a bunch of things! What interests you? Flare, you're not boring! And if you think so, go out there and make a difference!
Wow, this is awesome! I can't even imagine how difficult Braille must be. This major is gonna be huge in the world. In my history class, there's a blind kid and she types her reports in Braille on a machine and when she needs to tell it to us, she reads the Braille out loud. Really cool. Being nearly blind myself, I'm really glad you're doing this as a major. Shanaynay!!!!!
Braille is easy, but you can't go in there expecting to learn something with logic behind it. I love everything about what I'm going to do with my life. A year ago, I had absolutely no idea. Hahah.
Thanks for sharing. I majored in Business Accounting. Worked temporarily several years in it but didn't like it now I'm considering Human Resources as a career that's more people-friendly. Hopefully I can obtained better people skills before I take it. *Crosses fingers* Very informative piece and fun to read. Should take tabs on how to post like this.
I LOVE ANIMALS LOL i grew up with bunches of dogs ans all that.. Most of my aunts are in med field my one aunt is a nurse and a vet i just..idk if i can take putting dog to sleep and surgery.. .. I wanted to write like be an author or something, but idk what that will do for me.. In the future i mean..
Wow. Awesome thread. I had no idea there was a major either. I tried to do Braille once... I epically failed.
Lol so did I But there is. Not many colleges offer it though D: There's also a masters degree if you wanna go into teaching people who are blind how to use canes, walk with dogs, and get there way out of unknown areas. I wanna do that. Apparently our final is where they drop us in the middle of nowhere, and we have to find our way back to campus
