Zac-walks around town bored to death-

 

Zeus

He throws a towel in Kirsten's direction. "Catch!"

 

Kirsten: She catches the towel with one hand. "And this is for...?"

 

Zeus

He looks at her, feeling a little embarrassed. "Well, you're lookin' a little damp.."

 

Kirsten: She signals to her arms. "Oh no, this has to stay on ... Special reasons. But thanks anyway!"

 

Zeus

Nods his head. "I'm guessing that it has something to do with your alternative ego."

 

Kirsten: She hesitates slightly, but then nods her head.

 

Zeus

He discreetly gets out of his seat to sit next to Kirsten. "What exactly does alternative ego do?" he says, his voice dropping to a whisper.

Kirsten: "She- uhh- it ... it burns people ... not like a 'run it under water' burn, but like a ... huge, raging hot, burn."

 

Zeus

"Wow... H-have you burnt anybody before?"

 

Kirsten: She nods. "My mother. My younger sister."

 

Zeus

He looks at her wide-eyed. "Was it an accident?"

 

Kirsten: Nods. "Yes."

 

Zeus

"Were they ok afterwards?"

 

Kirsten: She hangs her head. "Mostly."

Zeus

He places his hand on top of hers. "It was an accident, right? It's not like you meant to harm them..."

 

Kirsten: She looks up at him. "Thank you."
