I think ata up to something fishy, rollout of dorm update now going into end of October, from.past years during BF weekend new dorms and mates roll out. I love surprises but give a hint🤣

 

Lmao bro be fr no mames. Yall just messed up admit it that yall estimated the time wrong. Makes no sense it will be done by Halloween? Sure people can update but now people are losing tutors and etc. Cause they aren’t gonna be making the same amount of money as players that got the update. Sure we can update but for people on the old system it’s more than the current one. We will have to use hella dns and etc just to open more dorms and upgrade 🧍

Why do y think we can't math? How u can think we believe it would be the same for us if we don't have the update? THE PLUNDER IS TOTAL DIFFERENT BETWEEN A 50MCS AND A 300MCS PLAYER.

And I don't think u will keep saved how many hits we will do during ata weekend and refund us all the plunder is missing once we will get the refund.

As a developer myself if I release a thing like u are doing I would fire immediately.
I mean especially now that we can have the help of ai, it's kinda unbelievable what is happening.

 

Being told that I may be receiving my update another month from now that gives other players another month to take advantage of the update makes me want to quit this game for the simple fact of how horribly this is handled. You guys are taking the fun out of this game.

Should’ve never announced, should’ve released it to some “beta testers” or yourself and you certainly shouldn’t have released it to a single player until the entire player base receives it. Unless there’s something paying for the wait it’s unfair to go so long without it.

Why would anyone blow money on a game that is giving other players the opportunity to make more this weekend because of their updated dorm towe? While some of us is still utilizing the old outdated plunder that’s giving alt. 🏃🏽 🚪

If beta testing was properly done, why are we still seeing delays of up to 3 months? Beta testing should cover players across different stats, account ages, progression levels and playstyles. If the sample isn’t sufficient, add more testers.

Once UAT is actually stable, roll it out over a week or two—not months of rollout, followed by delays.

Right now, this feels less like a controlled rollout and more like players are being used as the testers.

Might as well not do any beta testing 😂

 

I truly hope that players who have not received the update actually boycott the game and stop spending until the update is rolled out for everyone.

I cannot stress enough how much of a slap in the face it is to have developers pump out as many exploitive cash grabs as they can for ATA day while also apparently having no competent people working on an update YOU announced in July.

“Just keep upgrading like normal and you have a chance to get an edge when the update comes…, maybe sometime in your life, lol!!!” Or whatever. Yeah let me upgrade when an upgrade costs several T, provides no significant stat increase. Oh wait let me open a dorm for several T as well so I can put in the most bottom tier dormmate and again experience no significant stat increase. OHHHH… wait… I actually can’t do that because my tuts grew 3x their sizes and I would really love to keep them so I can get my max plunder but I can’t because some new player who started around the time you announced the update is already above my stats.

Clearly the opinions of your player base does not matter to you, but our money does. We are nothing but dollar signs to you. You continue to disrespect us and spit in our faces. If this wasn’t some obscure App Store game, then your treatment of your player base would be gathering so much attention. ✌🏼

 

I also do not care if I’m beating a dead horse by repeating how dissatisfied I am over and over on this thread. These are the messages that you should reference in your time capsule for next year. This is the criticism that you should ACTUALLY look into in a prompt and effective manner.

I don’t want to see a Walgreens receipt post about how great the game is next year. I want to see results and a developer team that cares about the player base. Like someone said above, if this was my job and I had this poorly of a response, I would be let go immediately.

It just doesn’t make sense for the team behind this to risk the dissatisfaction of their biggest players, most of which have played for years and are the highest spenders. And to also put them at a handicap for the foreseeable future because let’s be honest, you’ll make more excuses and it won’t be done by Halloween. Is this just an excuse to get us to spend more money to try to compete with new accounts? It’s starting to feel like that.

 

I would like to agree with the person who said it feels like WE are being used to test this update.

Why did you have BETA testers when it seems it didn’t matter anyways?

I’ve had that question ever since the first delay happened. I understand not everything will be perfect and there is going to be hiccups. But this update seems to be nothing but hiccups,

BETA testers, I would think, typically help you gauge what type of problems and/or good things come from an update before you release it to everyone, yes?

They volunteer their time to tell you what is good and what needs improvement, right? If so, I’m glad I didn’t volunteer myself to be a BETA tester atp even tho I thought about it bc I would feel insulted and like my time/input was wasted and ignored.

Did you even listen to the ppl who volunteered? Did you have enough testers? Perhaps more time should have gone into testing and THEN the update should have been announced after most of the obvious bugs were throughly worked out?

I’m genuinely confused by the devs’ decisions here and why instead of releasing a competent update over the course of a week or two, they went…this route.

 

You know usually when u work in the IT field you should also have a testing team that you pay. I understand make beta tester between players as well cause we can test it using another pov (a developer shouldn't never test his own work alone) but, on the other side, they should also have someone testing the technical part. I have the feeling they updated manually for each beta tester their dorm and now the autoupdate for everyone is giving troubles/bugs cause it wasn't really tested

 

Wow, yall actually managed to make the balance even worse than before, for an extended period, and promote unfair advantages for some players.

I will not be participating in this promo event. I know some may believe that some rewards are better than none, but I can not support the blatant unfair advantage by giving you money for this.

 

This is not what i expect from a game that's been around for over a decade.

 

Y'all really don't understand how pissed off people are at this situation, clearly. If you think telling us "your ata day gains won't go to waste" Oh, but our dns and time will. Players who have played for longer and struggled with the current terrible (reward wise) dorm tower, who have spent over those years. Will have a disadvantage against someone who got the update and tripled their stats. I suspect y'all are aware of that and don't want to do anything about it because you expect to make more money from pre update players buying dns. What a terrible disrespectful response, thanks again for nothing ata. ❤️

 

ATA, We Need Answers — This Dorm Tower Rollout Is Not Fair to Long-Term Players

I have been playing PIMD for TEN YEARS, and I have genuinely never been this frustrated or disappointed with how an update has been handled.

This is no longer simply about some players getting a new feature before others. The Dorm Tower rollout has created a massive progression gap between players, and those of us who still have the old system are being expected to simply accept being at a disadvantage for potentially months.

Yesterday at 4:07 PM, ATA publicly stated:

“Our goal remains to have everyone on the new system by Halloween, with some flexibility if unexpected issues come up along the way.”

Yet at 4:14 PM — only SEVEN MINUTES LATER — I was told privately by support that we should be seeing these updates by September.

So which is it?

September? Halloween? Possibly even later if there are “unexpected issues”?

After weeks of players asking for answers, this level of communication is unacceptable.

This is NOT just a cosmetic update.

Players receiving the new Dorm Tower are seeing absolutely enormous increases in their stats. I have personally watched accounts jump from around 30mcs to roughly 189mcs.

Meanwhile, I am sitting at 47mcs after TEN YEARS of playing and well over $12,000 spent on this game.

There are now BRAND-NEW accounts reaching stats comparable to mine while long-term players who have invested years — and in many cases thousands of dollars — are stuck waiting for an update we have absolutely no control over receiving.

And now we're heading into a x5 cash ATA Day event while some of us are still on the old system.

How exactly is that supposed to be fair?

Players with the new Dorm Tower already have an enormous progression advantage. Giving those players access to a x5 cash event while the rest of us remain stuck on the old progression system only compounds that advantage.

ATA's announcement says:

“If you're still on the old Dorm Tower system, the cash and account gains you make during ATA Day won't go to waste.”

But that completely misses the point.

The issue isn't whether our progress disappears. The issue is how much MORE time, effort, hits, DNs, and therefore potentially REAL MONEY it takes us to achieve comparable progression while we're stuck on the old system.

During the last promo, I managed to grow approximately 10mcs.

Someone benefiting from both the new progression system AND this promo could potentially see dramatically greater growth during the same period. And because progression becomes easier as those accounts grow, that gap can continue snowballing.

Telling us our progress “won't go to waste” does not address that disparity.

And stats aren't the only problem.
Long-term players are also dealing with the secondary consequences of this rollout.

We're losing long-term tutors because accounts receiving the update are growing dramatically faster. We're dealing with tutor theft and farming issues created or intensified by massive overnight changes in account strength. We're missing opportunities to make upgrades that other players currently have access to.

The longer this rollout continues, the larger that divide becomes.

And this update has been rolling out SINCE JULY.

Players should not be placed at a significant competitive and economic disadvantage for MONTHS simply because they weren't randomly selected to receive an update.

Testing an update gradually is understandable.

Allowing that test to substantially alter progression across the live game while leaving other paying players behind for months is an entirely different situation.

I want actual answers from ATA.

Not another vague statement about “monitoring the economy.”

Not another changing timeframe.

Not another reassurance that our current progress will eventually have value.

I want ATA to directly address these questions:

1. What is the actual expected rollout date for remaining long-term accounts? If support is saying September while the public announcement says Halloween, explain the discrepancy.
   
   
2. How will players who remained on the old Dorm Tower be compensated for the progression opportunities we've missed while other accounts had access to the new system?
   
   
3. How will ATA account for the additional advantage created by running a x5 cash promotion while only part of the playerbase has access to the new progression system?
   
   
4. What is being done about the tutor market disruption, farming, tutor theft, and other gameplay consequences created by drastically increasing the strength and earning potential of only certain accounts?
   
   
5. How does ATA intend to prevent players who received the update months earlier from permanently snowballing ahead of players who were forced to wait?
   

I've supported this game for TEN YEARS. I've spent well over $12,000 building an account that is currently only 47mcs in a game where accounts can reach hundreds of millions or even around a billion in stats.

I'm not angry because other players are progressing.

I'm angry because ATA has created a system where progression is being determined by who happened to receive an update first rather than by comparable time, effort, or spending.

And now we're being encouraged to spend more money on DNs during ATA Day to try to keep up with players who have access to progression advantages we literally cannot access ourselves.

Why should I spend MORE money to accomplish LESS?

That is the question ATA needs to answer.

If the rollout genuinely cannot be completed before Halloween, then ATA needs to acknowledge the disadvantage created by that decision and provide meaningful compensation or another method of leveling the playing field for players who were left on the old system.

We've waited long enough.

Give us a concrete timeline. Explain how you're going to address the months-long progression gap. Tell us how affected players will be compensated. And stop asking your long-term community to simply trust that our progress “won't go to waste” while we watch the gap get larger every day.

 

Atleast give us time and date when the update rollout start for the new dorm system

It's either you're not actually listening to what we say and the concerns we have ... or you just don't give a damn about it.
I saw a 2 weeks old account that's 1.5× my size after being on the game for 4 years .. and they obviously continue to grow more cuz they make more cash now on different levels.
Make it make sense thats you're continuing this circus , giving advantages to new players and half the existing players that the rest- who busted their butts on growing- don't have after almost a month now ?? AND we still.need to wait for possibly another month of not more ?.
How is that even fair ???
You're not even bothered to give a proper reasoning or explanation to this delay when as far as we see is it's all going well with thw folks who already got it ??
It's a bit frustrating ngl .. yeah it's a game after all but it's still something we invested time in to have fun .. yall making it hard to continue having fun tbh with how annoyed , upset and frustrated we feel.
All your updates are the same thing in different words adding nothing new..
And the fact you ignored there's a big promo coming ahead with this unfairness going on and just said " still spend money and dns" ...plz ..

I expect that an additional refund for the delay will be added to the refund for our Dorm Tower.
And no, a Lite Box with 50 hunt drops doesn't count as refund.
I invested time, energy and money to get to 132mcs and find myself at the beginning: I'm practically a noob.
I lost the opportunity to earn more from parties and upgrade during last invite hunt, I will lose the opportunity to earn more from parties and upgrade during the incoming X5 promo, I will lose the opportunity to earn more and upgrade during Fall invite hunt, I will lose the opportunity to earn more and upgrade during Halloween invite hunt (since it's said AFTER Halloween)... And "after Halloween" means everything and nothing. When? In November? Will I lose BF promo too?
That's a HUUUUGE amount of cash and upgrade lost.

Should we add moral damage to the practical damage? FOR YEARS we have helped support the work of those who do not communicate effectively with us and do not listen to our needs.
We feel cheated, by the people we pay their salaries to.
I really don't know how you manage to wake up in the morning and look at yourselves in the mirror, knowing that - by offering us a poor service - you are practically stealing our money.
