Theme #2: Red In halloween, when you hear “red”, I’d think of blood, devils, and other gore stuffs. In this case, I thought of something symbolic (which would remain relevant with halloween theme), so I drew Lycoris Radiata or commonly known as Red Spider Lily. Buddhists regard red spider lilies as sacred. As a memorial, Buddhists are known to put Red Spider Lilies on the graves of their ancestors. The flower is linked to death and the arrival of fall, which are both significant to Buddhists. Because the flower is associated with death, including Red Spider Lilies in a bouquet of flowers is considered impolite.
