Eh. There are worse things than the human body. Kids see graphic violence on tv all the time but the body is where ppl wanna draw the line
I just feel she gets extra hype (the business side of things rather than public/fans) because she’s not the size of most current singers. Based on things I’ve read, which shouldn’t be the case for anyone. Not that she’s bad or anything
I hate ketchup but it's one of the few condiments I'll eat on occasion. 90% of condiments scare tf outta me
Lizzo slander will not be tolerated. Honestly Lizzo represents every positive movement forward in intersectional feminism. All women, all sizes, all colors loving each other with amazing pop anthems playing in the background.
There has been many others but i think she's gaining more traction cause of the industry she is in. Gotta love women supporting women 💪🏻
Modern day feminism is highkey racist and sexist tbh. It's more "we want more advantages than what we already have." But before I go into detail, yes, only women of color receive salaries less than men. White women typically get paid more than most men, except for white men. The issue regarding wages... isn't going to... how do you say... bring equality. Anyways... Y'all hit us, we're supposed to take the hits and accept it like clowns and live with the shame... we hit back, go to jail and get shamed for self defense. Y'all get around and say we're slut shaming for not wanting anything to do with someone who slept with one of our homies... cause let's face it, we all have that one nasty ass friend who we question, "why you so nasty." But when the roles are reversed, we're labeled as womanizers and players. Y'all say some sexual compliments to us, it's posed to be okay, but if we do it to y'all it's "objectifying women." When we call men bitches or y'all call us bitches, it's okay. But when we call y'all bitches, it's seen as, "putting y'all down" and other things. Y'all give this whole, "we're independent" unification speech, but what about the ones collecting child support? That's not being an independent woman. That money comes from a man. There's WIC. There's better jobs, shit, any gender can be a stripper... all jokes aside. There's so many innocent male celebrities being accused of shit they haven't done and they're immediately deemed guilty, because a woman is accusing them. With no logic or evidence of any sort. Not to mention how they're using that to tear down the black community. You don't even have to be famous. Emmet Till is a prime example. His accuser apologized after decades of living with the "guilt." Tupac was a prime example, his accuser finally got exposed and it took so long for what? In many states, a woman can say, "I don't feel comfortable around him" and guess what, the male can't be around 100 feet around her or however many feet or miles it may be. It could affect his job for income or even his school for education. But everyone is body shamed. Everyone is judged and EVERY minority in general is discriminated against. Feminism isn't helping anyone. It's just pulling us farther apart as a population in general. And the most sad, ironic shit is, the same feminists "uplifting women" be the same ones putting college women down for stripping to pay their ridiculous tuition. They judge anyone woman making money from something sexually provocative... Those same feminists are the same mfs throwing shade at everyone and calling each other "bitches" as if it's not offensive just because they use it amongst each other. Feminism created incels. Like how gangs protecting it's neighborhood get corrupted with new leadership and opposing gangs are created. To abolish inequality, we have to abolish all discrimination... and as of the 21st century, the biggest discrimination is still racism. Unify the races, instead of further dividing us as human beings. I figure somehow someway, someone's going to twist my words and misunderstand my message, so in advance... opinion < fact.
I ... LMAO what the fuck are you smoking Trendsetting? Cus I want some of what you’re on. 😂 you remind me of the dudes who don’t get what feminism rly is. It’s to combat racism, sexism and classism. Y’all get this idea of “women just want more rights” from the bourgeoisie white women perspective. Ima recommend you read this: https://solidarity-us.org/pdfs/cadreschool/hooks1.pdf
Audre Lorde’s “Age, Race, Class and Sex: Women Redefining Difference” Lemme know if ya need more in case your limited perspective keeps you chained 🌚
I said intersectional feminism in the first place not just white women and their many inconsequential hurdles of the day. Anyway, I would like to see the facts since you value them over your opinion. People have anger with feminism because of bullshit issues at an individual level are engaging in a straw man arguement. If i broke down all of your grievances the mass majority of women would agree that the shit is unfair and we don't agree with it. But every woman is her own person. Has her own opinion. Feminists are just people at the end of the day. It is impossible for us to all think and act the same. I don't think stripping is empowering. I think if a woman feels uncomfortable around a man that's enough. I hate susie homemakers. But just because I hate something doesn't mean other women can't like it whether they're *feminists* or not. It doesn't matter. All women can do and be and think whatever they want. But for me feminism is about equality (not sameness) of women, women's needs and their contributions and men and their needs and their contributions. How that shakes down on a day to day basis will vary. And that's the great thing about idealogies. They're conceptual not a list of fucking rules.
I love talking about feminism because it's such a polarizing topic even tho it's literally just recognizing women as true equals, with personhood and agency. Like *racial equality* we all understand conceptually what it means, but in practice bias, personal contention, and other bs gets in the way. I'm already at the point where i know it will be impossible for every single individual to value and respect women, just like their will always be racial inequality and ableism and classicism.
