Chapter 22: Where Am I? Charlie quickly hit Zane's chest and turned to him. "I'll go get the doctor. Try to explain to her what's going on" Charlie quickly mumbled. He quickly sped away and left Zane alone at the door. "Zane?" Aly wispered softly. She slowly grabbed at her head and moaned. "Where am I? What's going on?" Aly asked demandingly. Zane quickly rushed into the room and sat down in a chair next to Aly. He took a deep breath and stared into her beautiful eyes. "You don't remember anything?" Zane wispered softly as he grabbed Aly's cold hand. "No... I remember everything major. Somethings are a bit fuzzy, but I remember" Aly mumbled quietly as she squeezed Zane's hand and smiled softly. "I really missed that smile of yours..." Zane said as he ran his hand over her face. "What were you thinking Aly? Why did you hit Zoey? And why did you leave the school?" Zane quickly asked at a million miles per hour. Aly quickly grabbed at her head and tried to remember. She slowly opened her eyes and tears formed as she took a deep breath. "You don't know what she said Zane. I wanted to kill her... She said horrible things" Aly shakingly wispered as tears ran down her face. Zane quickly wiped her tears away and grabbed her hands. "Why did you leave the school though?" Zane quickly asked confusingly. "Because I knew that it was too late for me. I didn't tell anyone I was hurt. When Zoey punched me, it made it three times worse. I just wanted to see my father's grave one last time..." Aly answered defensively. Zane slowly nodded his head in agreement and squeezed Aly's hands. "I'm just so glad you're okay..." Zane wispered. "You're the one who found me Zane. You saved my life. Thank you so much..." Aly said thankfully. She slowly moved forward and softly pressed her lips against Zane's lips. Zane slowly grabbed Aly's face and she rang her hand through his hair and rested her other hand on his face. They held the kiss for what felt like forever. Suddenly, Aly moved backwards and fell back on the bed in gasping breaths. "I can't... Breathe" Aly stated as she gasped for air. Zane quickly smiled and scratched his golden hair. "Must be from the punctured lung..." Zane mumbled. Aly quickly scrunched her eyebrows and began to question what Zane just said, but he quickly covered her mouth. "Shhhh... Don't waste a breath Aly" Zane quickly wispered.
Chapter 23: Impatience "Oh my gosh... Five days here?! I feel fine, my surgery scars are healing, my bruises are almost gone, so why can't I go home until tomorrow?!" Aly quickly asked Zane and Charlie demandingly. The two boys shuffled in their seats a bit, and tried to think of a good reason. "Well... Maybe the doctors want to make sure that you are mentally stable" Charlie answered quickly as he looked away. "You might even prefer to stay here Aly" Zane added intently. Aly quickly sat up on the bed and stared at Charlie and Zane. "Why is that Zane?" Aly asked as she turned her head to the side a bit. Zane quickly exchanged a look with Charlie and they both nodded at eachother. "Well... We kinda forgot to mention that your little fight with Zoey happened to get you 20 days of suspension" Zane quickly said as he stared into Aly's questioning eyes. Aly quickly shrugged and fell back on the bed, obviously not having one second of regret for what she did. "I'm going to go on a coffee run. Be back soon alright?" Zane quickly glared at Charlie signaling something, and walked out, leaving Charlie alone with Aly. "So... You do know Cody is going to kill you right?" Charlie asked randomly. "Pffft... I've had my heart restarted three times in the last five days. I think I can handle dying again" Aly slowly answered, smiling. Charlie quickly chuckled and rested his head on his arm and stared at Aly. Aly quickly glanced around the room and quickly moved forward and grabbed Charlie's face. She forcefully grabbed open his jaw and stared into his mouth. Aly quickly took a deep breath, closed it, and leaned back. "Ummmm maybe you should stay an extra few days" Charlie quickly mumbled, "You sure you are mentally stable?!" Aly quickly laughed and rested her head against the hospital bed side catchers. "It wasn't you... That was what I was checking" Aly innocently said as she stared at Charlie. He quickly nodded and took a sigh of relief. "I'm glad you finally understood that it wasn't me. Look, I have absolutely no clue how the necklace got into my locker. Let me tell you though, if I find the person that did all this Aly... I will kill them" Charlie said intently. He quickly sat back in his chair as Zane walked in with coffee. Aly slowly leaned back on the bed, and fell asleep quickly as Charlie and Zane had their man talks.
Chapter 24: Leaving This Place "Well Aly..." Doctor Salvatore slowly said as he checked Aly's papers. He quickly sighed and looked at Aly. "I'm not very comfortable with you leaving, but it says here that you can... So if you wish... I guess you may" Doctor Salvatore quickly mumbled angrily. Aly quickly stood up and cheered happily, and quickly grabbed at her stomach. "Damn... I need to remember not to stretch my stomach. Owwww!" Aly quickly mumbled as she slouched slightly. "You don't have to leave you know? You're welcome here any time Aly. I just want to make sure you aren't going to hide how you feel. It's dangerous, and could kill you... Again" Doctor Salvatore quickly said as he stared at Aly questionably. Aly quickly grabbed his shoulder and smiled. "You know I love you Doctor Salvatore, as a friend of course, but you know very well that I hate hospitals. I'll take my pain killers as directed, but I want to enjoy my life outside of a hospital ok?" Aly quickly stated intently. Doctor Salvatore quickly sighed and groaned a bit. "But WHY do you have to leave the hospital? You are still healing and possibly not yet mentally stable" Doctor Salvatore quickly added. Aly quickly shrugged and smiled. "No one knows when they are going to die, I was so close to dying at the age of almost 18, and it was a wake up call. I just want to live my life to the fullest before I die" Aly answered sweetly and proudly. Doctor Salvatore began to question what she had just said, but Aly quickly waved and walked out of the hospital room. She quickly rode the elevator down and walked past the front lounge. "Screw this place... I'm outta here" Aly quickly mumbled as she neared the door. She quickly ran out of the hospital and jumped into the red jeep waiting for her. "Thank you so much for picking me up! It was really sweet of you to do that on a school day" Aly said sweetly. "No problem! Zane and Charlie were told they couldn't skip school again without suspension. I overheard them discussing you had no ride and offered. I hate school anyways haha!" Calum said reassuringly as he flashed a grin at Aly. Calum slowly drove through the parking lot and exited to the highway. "So you befriended Charlie and Zane eh?" Aly asked curiously as she glanced at Calum. He quickly shrugged and chuckled softly to himself. "I think they thought anyone else would be better to pick you up besides your brother and the other family members..." Calum mumbled loudly. Aly quickly laughed and said, "Yea! Pretty sure Cody will definately kill me later..." "Nah... Not while you have me, Zane or Charlie around" Calum said sweetly as he punched Aly's arm. She quickly chuckled and rested her head against the window as Calum drove down the highway.
Chapter 25: Shocking "Are you seriously telling me you have never drunken soda?!" Aly asked shockingly towards Calum. He quickly moved forward and chuckled to himself. "Are YOU telling me you have never drunken beer?!" Calum asked shockingly towards Aly. She quickly giggled and both Calum and her cracked up. "Oh yea, did you remember to take your medicine?" Calum asked questionably. Aly slowly shook her head and stood up. "Damn... I hate medication" Aly mumbled quickly. She raised them to her mouth and quickly lowered them. "Hey Calum... I know you're a good person and all, but these things are going to totally knock me out. I'm not really comfortable with guys around me yet." Calum quickly stood up and smiled. "Hey, no harm done!" He said understandingly, "I totally understand where you're coming from." Calum quickly hugged Aly and walked to the front door with her. "You call me when you wake up ok? I want to make sure you wake up..." Charlie said demandingly. Aly quickly nodded and hugged Calum. "Thanks..." she calmly wispered. He smiled sweetly at her and calmly opened the door and walked out. Aly quickly sighed and spun around on her heels. She grabbed a glass of water and swallowed her pain killers and began walking to her bedroom. Aly locked the door behind her and stumbled to her bed quickly. "Oh my gosh they work quick..." she wispered to herself as she plopped onto the bed. She quickly moaned to herself and closed her eyes as she covered herself in blankets. "Goodnight pillow that I absolutely love..." Aly moaned quietly to herself. She finally felt nothing going on around her and fell into a deep sleep.
Chapter 26: Dirty Little Secret "Aly!" Cody screamed as he pounded on the door, "OPEN THE DAMN DOOR YOU BITCH!" Aly quickly opened her eyes and shot up on the bed. "What the hell is happening?" She quickly wispered to herself. Aly slowly crept out of bed and speed walked to the door. "What do you want Cody?" Aly asked suddenly as she stood by the door. She quickly heard Cody punch the door and she immediately backed away. "You're a bitch Aly! You almost killed the one I loved! I thought you were one of us! One of the best members of The Family!" Cody yelled as he began to cry, "I HATE YOU! I will NEVER forgive you... You over dramatic, bitch who is a damn ugly, fat, SLUT!!! Aly suddenly fell to her knees and felt tears streaming down her face. Anger boiled inside her as she grabbed the now unlocked doorknob. She began to twist it, but someone suddenly grabbed her from behind. "Let it go. Let's get out of here Aly..." Zane wispered in her ear. She quickly nodded and they both sprinted to her closet. Zane quickly grabbed Aly's hand, and began leading her through her two rows of coats. They finally reached the dead end, and Zane lightly punched the wall twice. The wall suddenly swung open and they were lead into the secret room. They've known about the room since they were six and had been using it for emergencies ever since. Another swinging wall coming from Zane's closet was slightly visible and Aly's door quietly closed. "It looks like our dirty little secret came in handy Zane..." Aly wispered softly as she smiled and hugged him tightly. "Indeed it did..." Zane quickly agreed.
Chapter 27: The Panic Room Aly slowly looked around the room and smiled. Over the years, Zane and her had created a hang out room built for a King and Queen. Her half was covered in pink, zebra, leopard, and polka dot patterns. Pictures of her and the family, and people she looked up to were hung all around. Pink, black, and white pillows covered the comfy rugged floor, and soft fuzzy blankets were covering one corner section, above her temperpedic cover sheet. Zane's half was covered in camo and other amazing patterns. He had heavy weights and workout equipment almost covering half of his side. The room was absolutely huge, and they both wondered why no one else even thought to ask if there was an extra room. It was so huge that they were able to fit a black futon and one black leather chair, a 50 inch plasma TV set, both their laptops and a desk, and a fridge, still managing quite an amount of space. Over the years they had also noticed that the room was soundproof, and no one could possibly hear their voices or TV from outside of the room. They figured their parents were using it as a panic room when they were still around. They came up with all the furniture when their friends and family were away from the house. Just recently did Zane and her go splurging on furniture when Cody, Charlie, Gabby and Michelle went on a wonderful trip to Washington D.C. Many countless days and nights, Aly and Zane relaxed in their precious room. It was one of their hugest secrets, and they wanted to keep it hidden. At times like these it sure came in handy. It was one of the few places Aly felt safe for once. The best part of course, were the security cameras. The house of course had security canera's planted everywhere, just in case of robberies or attacks. One day last summer while everyone was gone, Zane hacked into the security system and had set it up on the plasma TV. They could see almost every hallway and a few selective bedrooms and rooms in the house. It was a great surprise coming home to that on that day. "Aly..." Zane mumbled as he lightly pushed Aly. She quickly came to her senses and looked at Zane. "I think he's gone. You're safe now" Zane added cheerfully. Aly quickly grinned and grabbed Zane's hands. "Maybe I don't want to leave you... Aly calmly wispered as she looked into Zane's eyes. Zane quickly bent forward. "Then don't leave me..." Zane wispered softly. He slowly let go of Aly's hands and grabbed her beautiful, flawless face. He leaned forward slightly, and lightly pressed his warm lips against hers. Aly slowly moved with his lips, and she quickly wrapped her arms around his neck. Zane lightly pressed his body against hers and they quickly fell back on the futon with a thud. "Owww..." Aly quickly whined in pain as her healing scar from surgery was hit by Zane's falling body. He quickly broke the kiss and looked up at Aly with pleading, and forgiving eyes. His jeans pocket began suddenly vibrating. Zane quickly chuckled at the now sighing Aly and pulled out his phone. "Hmmmm... Charlie overheard the drama. He wants to get out of the house before he kills Cody. Would you like to join me in going to dinner with my brother?" Zane asked sweetly as he moved closer to Aly's beautiful face. "I would love to join you and Charlie!" Aly answered sweetly as she crawled out from under Zane. He quickly smiled at her and asked where she was going. "I'm in my pajamas loser, I need to get properly dressed!" Aly answered enthusiastically. She quickly exited the room into her closet, blowling a kiss at Zane.
