"I've met a wanderer named Andy. He seems nice enough. He doesn't have a weapon, though, we'll need to fix that." _________ Nikolai wrote in his journal while Andy walked beside him, telling his story. It was rather boring, as it lacked adventure, but Niko held on to every word.
Nikolai and Andy reached a bridge on the highway. It was destroyed somehow, which was annoying for Niko, this was the only way to New Austin that he knew of. "So what now?" Andy asked. "We find a boat to get across this damned river." Niko said, turning around, "Let's roll."
"So far, our search for a boat has been unsuccessful. I guess boats are an endangered species now, or something. All I know Is that we gotta get outta here, Rigger's gang will find me soon."
"It seems odd to me that Riggers would be so concerned with me. Granted, I did try and kill him three times, but you've gotta forgive and forget, man. Anyway, Andy and I had to stop and rest in a town. We'll be moving again tomorrow.
"We might have found a boat we can use. Granted, we'll have to find a working car to move it... Dammit." ________ Niko sat in the boat and wrote will Andy sat on the ground. They were resting, for they had been walking for about 2 days straight. "So... A car? Where are we gonna find a working one?" Andy said, looking up at Nik. "Hell if I knew, man." Niko replied, "We'll figure it out."
"In hindsight, pushing the boat was a bad idea. We've covered so little distance and are tired like we've been running for days. We need to find a car with gas soon..."
Niko sat at the foot of the boat, sweating and tired. Andy sat in the boat, just as sweaty and tired as Nik. "One hell of an idea, Niko." Andy said jokingly. "Ah, shut up. It got us this far." Niko said in reply. Suddenly, cries for help could be heard. Niko grabbed his gun and tossed his knife to Andy, "Let's go save a life."
They ran into town to see a few of Riggers' boys beating a girl into submission. "Scream, Girly, Scream!" One yelled out. Niko gritted his teeth and charged, Andy nervously following. Nik began to bludgeon the Riggers gang with the butt of his gun, holding it like a club. Andy slashed his way through a few, surprisingly, then went to the girl. She was badly beaten, bruised and bloody. "Grab her and bring her to the boat." Niko said, looting through the bodies for supplies, "We have Medi-injection at the boat, she'll need it."
"We managed to save a girl today. She was being beaten by some of Riggers's boys, so we killed them all. They had a bit of food on them, do that's a plus. We ended up giving our only Medi-injection to the girl. We were hoping to save that for a bullet wound or something, but she needed it." _________ Niko sat in the boat writing while Andy sat with the girl not too far away. "How are you feeling?" Andy asked. "Better..." The Girl replied, "Who are you guys?" "I'm Andy and that's Nikolai. We're headed to a bunker." "Can I come?" "Of course! What's your name anyway?" "Amy, my names Amy."
"Andy and Amy are getting kinda lovey dovey. They've known each other for what? Three days? It's ridiculous, to me at least. He just keeps going on about love at first sight, which I think is a load of crap." __________ Nikolai set down his journal by his side. The group had stopped for the day and started a fire to cook some food. "Never had deer before." Amy said. "It's good, trust me." Andy replied. Nikolai just say there as they talked, rotating the meat.
