  1. Maybe they could make it so you have to collect things like pacifiers or bottles, and make the stat items things like strollers or toys. I think this would be cute af

  2. Sure. Wouldn't use it, but support.

  3. It's only ridiculous if you like to ignore facts. Poverty, drug use, and crime rates are wayyyyy higher for people raised in single mother homes.

  4. Most single parents struggle. That doesn’t mean all are bad.

  5. I think if this hunt really focused on parents who are also in college, it would make sense to have some without rings. I don’t think that matters since it doesn’t mean they’re single.

Another idea could be a side quest where you have to collect textbooks or something to do with time since you get credits for how long the class is.

  6. It's not about you, it's about what those struggles do to your kids. And the numbers show, a high percentage of kids from single parent homes end up in poverty, on drugs, and or criminals.

  7. Maybe have it be an alarm clock that looks like it’s going off and it could be for those side quests that restart at the same time everyday with different difficulties to choose from!

  8. Those ppl who end up like that usually already lived in poverty/had criminal activity and drug use in their family. It's not entirely about the mom being single.

  9. Y'all gonna risk fücking up your kids by trying to prove the numbers wrong?

  10. This thread isn’t about statistics and people being bad parents can we just stfü about that ?

  11. My kids? I have zero intentions of being a mother let alone a single mother. But for single mothers who don't live in very poverty stricken areas and who don't have drug use in the family, the kids will probs be low risk. And literally just giving birth and bringing someone into the world puts them at risk of being messed up @julie

  12. True.

  13. It is on topic. My support for this thread is conditional.

  14. Idgaf if you Support it or not.

It’s not on topic to suddenly talk about how horrible you think certain people are.

It would be on topic if you simply said “I’d prefer if they were showing they’re married because of blah blah blah”

  15. Yeah okay, the 1% of single mothers whom don't live in poverty and don't fück up their kids.

Also, you should have one Wednesday. I was scared to have kids until I had one of my own. Having children is the most rewarding thing in life you can possibly do.

  16. “...results of a national substance abuse survey, based on 22,000 adolescents, found more substance abuse among the children of single mothers than among the children of two biological parents. But, considering the rhetoric about single parenting, I was struck by how few of the children of single mothers had substance problems - 5.7% -- and how similar the number was for the children of two biological parents - 4.5%.”

“Within each category of family structure—mother-only, father-only, and dual-parent households—heterogeneity among groups is considerable and varies with the addition of factors such as martial conflict, history of divorce, presence of a nonbiological parent or extended family members, ethnicity, political affiliation, socioeconomic status, and other cultural variables.”

“Although it is reasonable to underscore the importance of these findings, caution is required in their interpretation. As this study is a secondary data analysis and makes use of an existing data set, the survey items were not designed specifically to serve the current study’s research questions. With this limitation in mind, it was not possible for the current study to include items such as parental attachment and warmth, sibling relationships, or other potentially influential social and demographic features into the analyses. For example, some researchers have expressed the need for future study on adolescent development within the context of single-parent environments that differ by race or ethnic status”

(Just some stuff I found, don’t hang me ?)

  17. @warmth. I did, but y'all wanted to call it ridiculous. I have a right to defend my statement. Don't wanna hear from me? Quit trying to demonize my beliefs.

    Easy
